Already in 1600, in Ponti, on the hills of Monferrato, a family of farmers named Adorno lived in Contrada Cravarezza with clear reference to the word "crava" which in Monferrato means goat. 150 "Chamois of the Alps" goats and about 40 Piedmontese cattle are now the basis of breeding.
