Trezzo Tinella (Cuneo)
Having spent a wonderful week at the Bread Oven House last year, we returned this year for the same period. It was as fabulous as we remembered it to be. Giovanna again had two bottles of wine to welcome us, and we loved them both. Giovanna also still had fruit and nuts from her own trees, and a pantry stocked with the basics. We love coming here because it truly is like a home away from home for us. The house has everything you need for your stay and you don't have to waste time, money and effort trying to get the numerous small necessities that are expensive and inconvenient to get in small quantities. Giovanna is at your disposal to arrange any activity that you wish to partake in around the area and to give you advice. We will return again next year for our annual trip. We hope this place and Giovanna never change so we can come back year after year for a long time.
Our group of five stayed at Cascina Bricchetto, in the Grape Pergola House, from September 19 to 25, 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We found the bedrooms to be spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with antique furniture.
We made good use of the well-equipped kitchen.
The house is situated on a high hill, with an excellent view of the Piemonte region and the Alps beyond. While the house is in the country, it is close to several small towns which enabled us to easily shop for groceries. As well, it is within a reasonable driving distance to several of the more remarkable towns of the region such as Asti, Alba, Bra, Acqui Terme, and many of the wine-related villages (Barolo, Barbaresco and Neive).
We found Giovanna to be an extremely welcoming and helpful host. It is obvious that she knows and loves the region well. She will arrange visits to local wineries and other activities of interest.
We highly recommend the house, and would gladly return if we were in the region again.
