Serralunga d'Alba (Cuneo) Code
The farm was founded in the early 70's and takes its name from one of the most suitable areas for the production of Barolo wine. The agriturismo is the result of a recent renovation of an old building owned by the farm. The careful research of the materials with the recovery of the original materials, with a pinch of originality has allowed to obtain 4 rooms and independent apartments. Each room or apartment is named after a single vine variety. In the basement of the structure has been recovered the old cellar. The room obtained is destined to the tasting of the wines of the company and of typical local products.
“I GRAPPOLI” is the name given to the self-catering accommodation created after the recent refurbishment and restoration of an old building about 300 metres away from the winery. It now houses a number of separate rooms and apartments, each with independent external access. The rooms are simple, comfortable, spacious, well lit and airy. Each apartment has its own balcony or private terrace. Each room/apartment (with one or two bedrooms) is furnished in a classic or modern style with beds, cupboards and accessories, as well as a kitchenette (fridge, gas hob, oven, sink). Each apartment has its own bathroom and is suitable for use by disabled persons. The private courtyard is used for car parking, and there is also a garden with a lawn. When choosing the name I GRAPPOLI, care was taken to name each of the four apartments after the main vines grown in the wine-growing area of Serralunga d’Alba, the village where the winery is based: “Nebbiolo”, “Dolcetto”, “Barbera” and “Moscato”. A striking feature of the building is the fantastic view of the vineyards surrounded by the natural amphitheatre of hills encircling Serralunga d’Alba. The picturesque village is dominated by the medieval castle, guaranteeing a setting of extraordinary historical and scenic interest. Breakfast is served with typical local products. From the end of June 2020, our structure will offer our guests the opportunity to use the seasonal outdoor swimming pool.
The combination of the accommodation facility with the cellar offers various activities: breakfast in the cellar, visit of the cellar, organization of guided wine tastings, tasting of typical products in the cellar, wine and food itineraries, trekking routes in the vineyards, visits to the castles of the Langhe, visit of the city of Alba, sports and recreational activities related to neighboring realities (swimming pool and riding school); possibility, on request, of a tour guide and interpreter.
