The agriturismo
Cà d'Amelio is a family-run agritourism, ideal for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, immersed in nature but within walking distance of the city.
The farm especially raises chamois goats from the Alps, cows, chickens and pigs; the animal by-products of the livestock are essential elements of the km 0 cuisine, which respects the seasonality of the products: here the products come directly from thevegetable garden, orchard and surrounding forest .
The accommodation
The facility consists of 3 cozy and comfortable bedrooms, offering the possibility of spending nights immersed in silence and nature.
Each room has a private bathroom, furnished balcony/terrace, TV, air conditioning, independent floor heating, free WI-FI, mini bar.
Guests can start their day with a hearty breakfast on the terrace in the summer season, with a beautiful view of the Serra Morenica; in the winter season breakfast is served in the room inside the farmhouse. The country breakfast features local cuisine with homemade cakes, fresh milk, homemade jams, acacia honey and excellent herbal teas prepared with herbs from the garden.
The farmhouse restaurant has a small but cozy room that can accommodate up to forty people in the winter season; in warm weather, on the other hand, there is the possibility of taking advantage of the covered terrace, reaching 50 seats. The restaurant is open only Friday for dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch.
The facility has ample free parking and for the little ones there is also a small playground.
Activities and surrounding
The farmhouse is located on the edge of the forest, surrounded by silence and nature. It is a strategic point both for those who want to relax from the daily hustle and bustle and at the same time enjoy sports activities or simple walks.
It is located near beautiful Ivrea at the foot of Val Chiusella and 13 km from Valle D'Aosta.
Being in a hillside location, the Montalto Castle, Ivrea Castle, and Masino Castle more in the distance are visible to the naked eye from the terraces.
Around the property, guests can experience countless activities: from the farmhouse starts a beautiful walk "Il Sentiero delle Vote," a loop that arrives directly in the church square of Brosso (in Val Chiusella). From here there is a breathtaking view of much of the plain, where the Moraine Serra frames it. This trail is walked annually in October for the Calea-Brosso-Calea running race.
The farm is a 5-minute walk from the paragliding landing field , a 10-minute drive from beautiful Ivrea , a UNESCO World Heritage site, an hour from Turin and Aosta and half an hour from Biella .
