The Sa PerdaArrubia holiday farm is in the heart of nature. The structure features a broad parking area and one room is specially fitted to suit disabled guests
The holiday farm and Bed&Breakfast “Sa PerdaArrubia” is about 3 km from Cardedu or the seaside. The Mediterranean scrub and the century old forests in Mount Ferru preserve a kind of flora and fauna that are outstanding and incomparable. The mountain is reflected in the crystal clear waters of the sea at its foot, which is reachable by car or through the ancient paths used by goatherds and charcoal burners. The sea has a sandy bottom and along the coast you can admire small inlets or wide expanses of sand, rocks, red porphyries or tiny enchanting creeks. You can also enjoy the variegate wild unspoiled sea landscapes taking advantage of the services proposed by Benthos Diving: rubber dinghy excursions along the coast as well as scuba diving guided tours among beautiful shallows, grottos and wrecks. In the neighborhood of Cardedu, guests who are interested in archaeological heritage can visit some of the nuraghi and some of the ancient graves called Domus de Janas. There are also a fascinating sacred well and the very old rural church dedicated to the “Madonna del Buon Cammino”.
Outskirts and leisure: from the farm you can quickly reach Barisardo and its marvelous beach and the beaches of Tortolì and Cea, characterized by white thin sand, shallow water and two wonderful outcrops of red porphyry that emerge from the sea. Additionally, the mountain is not far away: the territory of Lanusei, highly located, keeps enchanting woodlands such as Selene wood. The old “Trenino Verde” passes by Lanusei and runs through the most beautiful and unexpected spots of our island. The landscape is full of beauties and emotions and the perfumes and colors of the unspoilt environment of the nature reserve
Culture: Ogliastra means not only nature, but also history that can be discovered through the archaeological heritage of the land such as the nuraghe Su Siribissi in Osini, nuraghi Sa Iba Manna and Moru in Barisardo and many others, as well as Domus de Janas, holy wells and menhirs, called “Perdas Fittas”. Moreover, Ogliastra means religion and folklore: summer evenings in towns are characterized by performances of folk music bands, photographic exhibitions, folk dancing, Sardinian handicrafts expositions, town and religious festivals. On the first Sunday in July, an impressive procession at sea called Stella Maris is celebrated in Arbatax.. In August the port area of Arbatax hosts the famous blues music festival called “Rocce Rosse”. Some tourist events take place also in Barisardo, Baunei, Santa Maria Navarrese and Cardedu, like the festival “Insieme a Cardedu”. A wine festival is organized on 8th August in Jerzu. You can visit little private wine cellars and admire a fascinating parade where young guys and girls wearing traditional costumes walk besides old oxcarts. The highlight of the festival is when the wine Cannonau is offered, together with a local typical food tasting: you can savor products such as “coccoi prena”, “coccoi ‘e tamatta”, culurgiones and various kind of cheese.
At St. Lorenzo night, on 10th August, Jerzu hosts also the event called Calici di Stelle, related to the wine festival. It takes place in a enchanting atmosphere on the old town centre among its ancient wine cellars. Tourists can taste some of the most vintage wines, poured in glass goblets and served with typical food, while listening to the charming sound of launeddas and music played by tenores and other street artists.

Beautiful small estate, with rooms overlooking vineyards and mountains, and the owner Laura is very kind. Even though it rained for 2 days straight, our room was a cozy place to hole up and stay in. We were allowed to cook dinner in the kitchen, which was also a nice plus. There was some great hiking on the coast nearby in Cardedu, or if you feel like driving farther, at the Gola di Gorropu gorge. It was a peaceful place to end our time in Sardinia.
We had a very nice stay at Laura's, very welcoming and always available for any questions. The room is tastefully decorated, comfortable and impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious, prepared with garden produce. Every day she prepares a new pie, a real delight, especially the orange one with the subtlety of saffron!
The surroundings are very beautiful to visit, whether it is the sea, the mountains, archaeological visits and visits to the caves, there is plenty to do!
We highly recommend it!

Small but fine agriturismo, idyllically situated in the hills of Ogliastra. Ideal starting point for long hikes, but also near beautiful beaches. Laura and her family are wonderful hosts. We have felt very comfortable there in the past two years and will certainly come back. Sa Perda Arrubia has become a little bit home to us. Un saluto grande dalla Germania, Claudia e Mo.
