Everything is immersed in an oasis of peace in the green of the countryside and the maquis, with the possibility of taking relaxing walks early in the morning or at sunset and getting to know the unique scents released in spring by the helichrysum, myrtle, lavender, rosemary and cistus scattered in the corners of this land.
The farm can be explored on foot or by car thanks to the good internal road network, which allows those who are interested to look closely at the various crops, see their fruits and assist in the various processes ranging from sowing to harvesting and finally processing. Part of the farm is occupied by woodland with shrubs and plants typical of the Mediterranean maquis, such as oaks, strawberry trees, myrtle and broom, and each season has its own flowering; the woodland also offers its fruits which are harvested and used, for example myrtle and strawberry trees, and its flowers for honey production.
The farm is located at about 3 km from Cardedu and 10 MINUTES BY CAR from the sea.
Expanses of Mediterranean scrub and centuries-old woods form a naturalistic complex around Monte Ferru, which is reflected in the sea and which can be reached on foot along old paths used by goatherds and charcoal burners.
The sea, with a sandy bottom and a coastline that alternates small inlets with expanses of sand, rocks, red porphyry and enchanting coves, creates a varied, uncontaminated and wild landscape.
Surroundings: from the farm it is possible to reach in a few minutes the beaches of Barisardo, the beach of Cea with fine white sand, shallow water and two wonderful red porphyry spikes, the beach of Tortolì, the red rocks of Arbatax, s. maria navarrese etc.
Even the mountains are not far away, from the agriturismo you can see the heels of Jerzu and Ulassai which offer unique views; the villages jealously preserve their history in their traditions, art and cuisine. In the summer months there are a succession of festivals and typical local festivities.
Ogliastra is therefore
-history that you can learn about through archaeological sites such as the nuraghe of Su Sirbissi in Osini, the domus de Janas of Mount Arista in the territory of Cardedu, and the sacred wells scattered throughout the territory.
- It is also religion, folklore: in fact, folk groups, emerging groups, photographic exhibitions, dancing in the square, exhibitions of Sardinian handicrafts, festivals, religious feasts, etc. are elements that unite the summer evenings in the towns of the area:
At Arbatax, the Stella Maris festival with its procession on the sea and at the "Rocce Rosse" the famous blues music festival.
Events of tourist interest also take place in Cardedu, Barisardo, Baunei and Santa Maria Navarese.
In Jerzu, at the beginning of August, there is a wine festival with costume parades and characteristic Sardinian masks. On the night of San Lorenzo, Calici di Stelle (Goblets of Stars) takes place in an enchanting atmosphere around the ancient wine cellars of the historic centre, where tourists can taste the finest wines, accompanied by the music of street artists, tenores and the magical sound of launeddas.
