Scano di Montiferro (Oristano) Code
An agriturismo around 6 km from the centre of Scano di Montiferro, between Alghero and Oristano, a stone's throw from the Santu Micheli di Sagama country church and the slopes of Montiferru, a chain with many springs and diverse environments, home to a wealth of different plants, from myrtle to holm oaks, chestnut trees and mastic.
The farm rears beef cattle, and grows olives, used to produce an outstanding oil. The estate spans 16 hectares of oak and cork wood. Ample parking is also available.
The restaurant is located in a large lounge, also ideal for ceremonies and events. You can enjoy local products such as casizolu (caciocavallo cheese), Scano baked rice, traditional desserts and dishes prepared using the farm's own ingredients, in particular its beef.
Guest accommodation is available in five rooms surrounded by greenery and peace and quiet. You'll find stylish furnishings, private bathrooms, TVs, air conditioning, hairdryers and independent heating. A buffet breakfast is served between 8 am and 10 am. Each room has its own outdoor space with tables and chairs, and one room is also suitable for disabled guests. You'll find a reading area with books for children and adults, as well as a range of leaflets and guides on the local area.
You can visit the Sant'Antioco springs, located next to a seventeenth century chapel, Sa Roda Manna, a natural monument created by a dense wood of hollies over 10 metres high. For geology fans, Sa Rocca Traessa is a formation of volcanic basalt stripped by centuries of erosion.
The Su Crastu Giants' Tomb is just 100 m from the estate, and the Nurcale nuraghe is on the road which leads from Scano to the farm.
15 km takes you to Cuglieri and Bosa, 45 km to Oristano and 55 km to Alghero, with Fertilia Airport.
