Via chiesa,49 , 09070 Baratili San Pietro (Oristano)
The agriturismo is located near Baratili San Pietro, a small village just 10 km from the sea coast and well-known as the town of Vernaccia, a typical Sardinian white wine.
The family-run agriturismo is the result of the complete renovation of the courtyard of an early 20th century Campidano house. Its range of accommodation is characterised by the relationship between good traditional cooking and the peaceful area it is located in.
The agriturismo welcomes guests in 10 rooms, 5 of which are air-conditioned, each with its own bathroom. The rooms are for double or single use and a third bed can also be added. The amenities include: TV, air conditioning, fan and wi-fi. It is also possible to use a shared refrigerator.
The restaurant consists of three large dining rooms, one which is half open and two of which are indoors, seating up to 80 guests, offering the quality of traditional Sardinian cuisine. Guests can try specialties such as appetisers like cured meats, vegtables in oil produced on the farm, various kinds of savoury pie, ‘burrida’ seafood soup, salmon carpaccio, first courses such as homemade ravioli, ‘pai frattau’ (bread with tomatoes and eggs) or "fregole" with artichokes and sausage or mixed seafood, main courses such as mixed grill fish or barbecued meat and roast suckling pig. Desserts are also a speciality for the agriturismo: ‘seadas’ (cheese-filled fritters), ‘pardule’ (cakes with ricotta and citrus zest), almond cakes and doughnuts.
The main activity on the farm is agriculture, mainly based on the cultivation of asparagus, artichokes, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, melons, table and wine grapes and other seasonal produce used to produce jams and preserves served for breakfast and liqueurs such as fruit brandies, myrtle, limoncello and citrus-flavoured drinks.
Nearby, you can find a variety of activities such as: a golf club, a motocross track on sand, mountain biking and horse riding trails. Windsurfing courses are organised in the Putzu Idu marina. Finally, you can reach the island of Mal di Ventre on one of the many boats offering guided tours, and the archaeological site of Tharros.
