Ganda 53, Ganda 39020 Martello (Bolzano)
The farm stands at 1280 m altitude, in Val Martello, considered one of Val Venosta’s most beautiful valleys, in the Stelvio National Park. Guests can choose the type of stay they want: leisure and relaxation, or an active break, getting involved on the farm and in the dairy.
The farm’s dairy produces delicious cheese, and since March 2004 it has operated according to Bioland standards, without the use of silage feed. The cheese is made from rennet, salt and lactic bacteria, without the use of additives.
The apartments are warm and cosy, each with 1-3 bedrooms, a lounge with corner bench, sofa and TV, a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances (economical electric stove, fridge, extractor, coffee machine, crockery), one or two bathrooms with shower, balcony with mountain views and internet connection.
The Val Martello offers tourists a visitor centre (Culturamartell) and a permanent exhibition entitled “In Martello, in my valley...”. In summer, the farm welcomes hikers exploring the South Tyrol Strawberry Trail, which crosses the valley through diverse landscape. In winter you can enjoy 12 km of cross-country skiing, sledging, the natural theatre of the Ortler Alps, ideal for ski touring and ice-skating too. Alternatively, why not try a spot of snowshoeing?
