The agriturismo

At the foot of the Alpe di Siuse, at an altitude of 1,100 m, the sunny and very quiet farm is located in the municipality of Castelrotto and enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding mountains. Around the farm and in the immediate vicinity there are countless opportunities for recreation, while in the well-kept apartments of the farm you can have a taste of everyday mountain life and genuine products of the farm.

The accommodation

The farm is a small family business, which Ingemar and Evelyn run together with their four daughters, Lena, Sophia, Marie and Hannah, as well as their grandmother Maria Anna and grandfather Albert. With a lot of love and genuine passion for animals (cows, calves, chickens, cats, rabbits, ducks and goats), for the many flowers in the garden and for the beauty of nature, every day they welcome guests in their daily lives, made up of small and large jobs.

The five apartments, all facing south and furnished in a comfortable and natural way, are equipped with hairdryer, linen, towels.

On request it is possible to enjoy breakfast or dinner prepared with products mainly of the place and the farm: freshly milked milk, coffee or herbal teas with herbs from the farm, juice of homemade elderberries or raspberries, various homemade jams, honey, fresh whole grain bread of spelt / rye wheat, various types of cakes prepared by the family, butter and fresh eggs, speck and tasty cheeses, fruit and vegetables from the farm... Guests can also take in spices, salads and more directly from the farm's garden.

Activities and surrounding

In addition to a beautiful holiday in a panoramic position, in the farm adults and children will find many things to do: children can have fun in the fabulous playground with slide, sandbox, trampoline, swings and vehicles for children, adults can visit the library, read a good book, leaf through a newspaper or just relax on the lawn. Animal lovers can caress kittens, rabbits and goats or take part in the daily work in the stables. On the farm, under the loving guidance of grandmother Maria Anna, you can participate in courses in South Tyrolean cuisine and crafts.

A skiing week in Castelrotto-Alpe di Siusi is a dream made of fresh snow and sun: the vast and beautiful ski area Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena is located a few kilometers away from the farm and allows you to practice downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding or snowboarding, snowshoeing, admiring a beautiful white landscape. Don't miss a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride, an ice skating session and the enchanting Christmas markets of Castelrotto. Among the places to visit are the Church of San Francesco on the Alpe di Siusi and Castel Forte (Trostburg). In October, the music group "Kastelruther Spatzen" organizes a big tent party, but autumn is also an ideal season for an excursion to the farm Pflegerhof with Törggelen in a tavern in the S. Oswald or a walk along the "Oachner Höfeweg" path, a visit to the magnificent ruins of Hauenstein and Salegg, or challenging climbs to the tower of the beautiful church of Castelrotto.

In summer, guests can enjoy the water fun: the public outdoor swimming pool Telfen is only one kilometre away; the natural pond of Fiè is only 8 km away and offers rowing boats. For the more sporty, at the Running Park Alpe di Siusi there are 20 jogging trails. In June the local music group "Kastelruther Spatzen" invites you to their popular open-air concert, and at the end of August there will be a traditional festival with parade in costume.

Not far from the farm there are restaurants and two riding stables with instructors, just 20 min. walk you can reach a large playground and a small zoo.
