The accommodation

The Widmannhot at the village entry of Klerant looks back to a century-old tradition. It traces its origins back to the 15th century. For decades, the Widmannhof was a cattle-breeding farm and a very popular guest house; today the farm focuses on biological agriculture and on the “farm holidays” as an important source of income.

NEW: cosy guests' lounge in our barn conversion - the perfect place to relax with friends. There are plenty of games for all ages, the small farm's library with hiking books and books for children, internet and a children's playroom.
NEW: Complimentary use of our sauna and spa facilities with a Finnish/bio sauna, infra-red warm cabins, relaxation room and cooling off area.
NEW: Ski room and boot warmers for the winter season.

Try out fresh cows' milk, light and creamy natural yoghurt, fruit jams and wholesome eggs from our contented hens, as well as wonderful quark, which you can jazz up a little with fresh herbs from our garden.
Enjoy fresh rolls for breakfast every day (except Sundays) - straight from our baker, onto your plate. What better way to start the day?
Our tap water (Plose water) is reputed for its quality and pleasant taste.

Children discover the farm in their own and unique way. They love the light heartedness of the moment: the little cat on their knees, the cheeky goats, the exciting ride on the tractor…. Sandpit, slide, swing, giant trampoline, children’s playhouse, indoor playroom… and above all much space for dreaming, playing and discovering.

No matter if you want a riding lesson in our hippodrome in front of the house or if you prefer a guided ride in the open country: saddle, climb up and let’s go on. Children, youngsters and even adults can learn to ride in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, whilst experienced riders can perfect their technique.
For our small guests we offer safe and guided children-riding. Our ponies accompany the children through their first riding lessons. The two ponies “Katty” and “Emily” are the ideal companions for our smallest horse-enthusiasts. And some of the pony-friends would like to take their favourites with them at home.
