The agriturismo

Agritur Tenno Cantina Bio Natura is located in the rural town of Tenno (428 m), between Lake Garda (5 km from Riva del Garda) and Lake Tenno (3km), in the typical Liberty style of the Trentino valleys. Tenno is surrounded by green vines on ancient terraces with dry stone walls. On site, you can enjoy Stefano Bailoni Cantina Bio Natura natural wines, produced using natural agriculture, without chemical pesticides, to protect the environment and create wholesome, healthy wines.

The accommodation

The agriturismo offers guest accommodation in apartments or twin rooms with breakfast. For families, two twin rooms can be combined, with a shared bathroom. You'll also find a large terrace on the ground floor, for enjoying breakfast or dinner on Fridays and Saturdays (dinner must be booked in advance upon booking your stay, for the 2018 season, starting from June).

Outside there's a small garden with loungers and tables, a small barbecue, ping pong, on-site parking and mountain bike storage. 200 metres away there are new synthetic grass tennis courts, a large communal play area and a five-a-side football pitch. Your children will love the various activities on offer on the "Educational Farm".

Tasting Agriturismo guests can enjoy natural wines, produced on the farm itself, with very low levels of sulfites and no added chemicals. Low production per hectare of countryside ensures the scents of the grape are concentrated. Cultivation is natural, without the use of chemical pesticides, only copper fungicide and sulphur as they used 100 years ago. The pruning method (SIMONIT&SIRCH) is innovative and respects the vine's lymph flow, to preserve longevity, resistance to disease and balance in the ripening of the grape clusters. To find out more about this wonderful method, used only by the world's finest cellars, Stefano, the owner, completed an extensive course in France over a winter at the Bordeaux University of Oenology, where he obtained the prestigious Dute, a University Diploma in Vine Pruning, the only one qualification of its kind in the world.

The farm produces:
Pinot Nero, very few clusters per plant vinified in steel to enhance the concentration of the fruit.
Pinot Grigio "MACERATO", at 30 years old, the farm's most mature vine, after fermentation the must remains on the skins in maceration for over 1 month to extract all the perfumes, creating a golden orange hue.
Muller Thurgau "MACERATO", from a vine at 550 metres altitude, which enjoys excellent sun exposure during the day, and the fresh evening cool. This too is left to macerate for over 1.5 months. It has an intense golden tone.
Schiava Gentile Rosé is produced from a traditional native Tenno vine, today almost extinct. A wine with "gentle" scents, a truly elegant rosé with a unique floral bouquet.
Merlot, also produced entirely from the vine located at 550 metres altitude, highly characteristic, intensely fruity with hints of chocolate and berries. Panders to none.

This wine is wholesome, elegant and full of character. It manifests in its scents the uniqueness of the territory, characterised by a microclimate mitigated by Lake Garda and by the fresh influence of the Brenta Dolomites.

Activities and surrounding

You can explore enchanting destinations such as Canale, one of Italy's Most Beautiful Hamlets (with the "Rustico Medioevo" Festival in August), or take a dip in the emerald green Lake Tenno, just a short walk from Tenno through beautiful terraced vines. The archaeological site in S. Martino and the famous Varone Falls embedded into the rocks are well worth a visit too. For Spa Centre fans, Terme di Comano is soothing and healing, and is less than 20 minutes away by car.

Then there's Riva del Garda, Arco with its botanic garden and castle, or Lake Ledro with its Lake-dwelling Museum and workshops for children. In Rovereto you'll find the Museum of Modern Art.

So visit Tenno, for a holiday filled with peace, nature, culture and fine food and wine. Using organic, biodynamic methods, the agriturismo cultivates beautifully scented Pinot Nero, Muller Thurgau, and Merlot grapes, and produces fragrant PDO extra virgin olive oil.
There's mountain biking and cycling on the Alto Garda cycle tracks, trekking for all abilities, hiking for families to discover the Tenno region, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, free climbing (with plenty of routes and classes with alpine guides for adults and children), traditional climbing and via ferrata. 4 km takes you to a riding centre with classes for children too.
