The accommodation
Usciano is an ancient village of medieval origin, perched on the side of a hill from which dominates the meeting between four small valleys of the Aretine territory. A town once inhabited by woodcutters, peasants and castagnai, it was a step away from abandonment, but the tenacity of its children meant that it could survive. We have brought back to life the houses on the edge of the village, along with their fields, the oak and holm oaks, the garden and the splendid panoramic terraces planted with olive trees. A modern pool, set in the glaze overlooking the valley of San Chimento, has completed the work together with nature, a true protagonist of the environment around Usciano. The complex consists of a large stone farmhouse, whose construction dates back to 1851, completely restored, both externally and internally, according to current criteria, while maintaining the original volumes and the use of ancient materials such as terracotta, exposed stone and old wooden beams.
