VIA LAMA 26, 52026 Castelfranco Piandisc̣ (Arezzo)
The agriturismo was born from the renovation of a traditional farmhouse around an ancient XIII tower-house, originally built for defence and surveillance of the Arno Valley, and typical of the Massiccio del Pratomagno region. The farm was built after the XII century by a Benedictine religious congregation, who are thought to have established many farms in the surrounding regions, made possible by the creation of terraced landscape, made of stones and woodland.
The current owners purchased the complex in 1973, and renovated the farmhouse, offering the functionality and rural welcome typical of the hamlet. You’ll find comfy, well-equipped apartments, a spa and a swimming pool for guests.
The organic farm, certified by Italian agency Suolo&Salute since 2008, produces extra virgin olive oil using a native cultivar to the “Setteponti” region, and rears sheep and goats. On the estate you’ll find a botanic trail, which alongside the animals and crops, makes up the educational farm open to schools and families.
Borgo Mocale follows the current regulations for the prevention of the Covid19 virus, therefore customers are highly protected and will be able to carry out all activities safely.
