The agriturismo

An oasis of peace into the green of Tuscany.
Settled at 713 m. above the sea level, Tramonte is a wonderful hamlet of the 18th century completely renewed with a breath-taking view on Casentino valleys. Mountains, woods, ancient forests and flowers create charming landscapes in every season.
Beeing surrounded by a luxuriant nature, by its sounds, by endless landscapes creates a magic alchemy for who lives in this place, also for just few days.

The accommodation

Borgo Tramonte is located in an optimal position for sport people, since it is at the limits of the National Park of Casentino.
You can rent a mountain-bike or you can have a comfortable stable if you have a horse. For golf lovers there is a nine-hole-course at only fifteen min. by car, as also a tennis field and the possibility to practise sport fishing.

For the riding track Serena helps us and, if you prefer, we can organize ridings, if you can already ride, or riding lessons if you want to learn this sport. In the winter two ski runs are easily reachable at only 15 km from Borgo Tramonte.

If you want a relaxing holiday, our comfortable and panoramic swimming pool - dipped into the green with deck-chairs and floating mattresses, available from May to September - offers the possibility to get an enviable tanning!

Moreover, upon reservation, different kinds of massages: shiatsu, moxa, plantar, energetic re-balance and yoga courses done by Margherita, who got a 15-year-experience in India about the art of massages.

For gourmet people, a half-board service is available. Our cuisine - housemade and typical of Tuscany, our breakfast, with sweets, honey and jams (everything housemade), will enjoy your palates ..... and, upon request, Fiorentina steak grilled in our fireplace.
Here, in the right seasons, you can pick up mushrooms and chestnuts.

Activities and surrounding

For us, who have decided to leave our cities for living in this beautiful valley, it is easy to speak of it with enthusiastic tones and we realize that this description can seem discounted at reader's eye! Nevertheless the fact of sharing and above all to make these places know to our hosts is something that gratifies us and it is part of this experience.

After this unusual premise we can say that Casentino region will remain in your heart! It is an important statement, but after visiting places as Camaldoli and above all the Verna Sanctuary we have not any doubt about it. Beyond its nature variety and the beauty of its landscapes, the Casentino region offers high level historical and artistic testimonies - as for example the Romanesque Pievi (little countryside churches) spread on the territory - and Poppi, Romena and Porciano Castles.

The aspect we find particular is the contrast between a tourism made of culture, relax and contact with nature to another made of amusement and feast in experiencing the numerous festivals, fairs and events that characterize the villages of the valley during the whole year: the chestnut fair, the mushrooms fair, the potato and the tortello fairs, the Biennial festival of the wrought iron in Stia, the Giumela in Pratovecchio, only to quote few ones.
There would be still much to say, but we hope you discover it living these places.

The location and the rooms are nice, but the food is very disappointing and does not meet the expectations of an agriturismo nor is the price/quality ratio ok. The dinner was not bad but nothing more. Breakfast was abysmal. Dry bread, no fruit, no ham, cheese or the like. Everyth... Read more

Dear Mr. Martin, I am very sorry that our service did not meet your expectations. The dinner we prepare is geniuna and is prepared by our chef who has been cooking for our guests for more than 10 years. Our breakfast (toasts, homemade jams, ricotta from the local shepherd, orange juice, yogurt and homemade cakes) is published in the services we offer. Thank you for your visit and your kindness.

Hi, I am Angelina and I am 49 years old.
This is me and my husband, Agustin
I have been managing Borgo Tramonte since 2021 along with my husband.
As well as we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication.
It was a desire to to live in nature which led me to run an agriturismo.
According to the guests, the best thing about our agriturismo is the chance to stay in a natural setting.
