The agriturismo
The farmhouse Fattoria Caldesoni, a hillside farm of 250 hectares united and cultivated with certified organic methods, is located in a dominant panoramic position with an enchanting hilly scenery all around, not crossed by public roads. The farm has received the classification of "5 sunflowers".
The distance from sources of pollution and noise, the healthy air, the beauty of the landscape, the authenticity of organic food, relaxing activities or motor that you can practice such as swimming in the pool, walking, mountain biking, or horseback riding by appointment, the night's rest in absolute silence, make it a Natural Wellness Center and an ideal place to spend a relaxing and regenerating vacation for adults, fun and educational for children.
The accommodation
The agritourism structure has been obtained from the ancient farmhouses of the farm dating back to the end of the 18th century, classified as having historical value by the Region of Tuscany. The renovation was done in strict respect of their originality, using materials and techniques of the time.
The rooms, of various sizes, are furnished with handcrafted wrought iron beds with hand painted rosettes as well as furniture and fixtures made of solid chestnut wood from our woods. All rooms are with private bathroom, panoramic view, lawn/garden in front and private entrance.
The buildings are surrounded by stone sidewalks and a large lawn / garden in whose most scenic point is the swimming pool with solarium, furnished with umbrellas, sun loungers, tables, chairs for the exclusive use of guests, for their well-being and relaxation.
The kitchen is based on BIO products of the farm including oil from our olive groves, eggs from our henhouse, veal, chicken, rabbits from our farms, vegetables from our garden, fruit from our orchards.
Everything is cooked express. Dinner is served on request, in the morning for the evening, as well as lunch if requested by at least 6 people.
In addition, for ceremonies and / or important occasions, we offer exclusive menus cooked in our old wood-burning oven, as was once the case.
In our kitchen are not used precooked foods, recycled, preservatives, dyes and the like.
Activities and surrounding
The hilly, panoramic and healthy position of our farmhouse is ideal for outdoor activities such as swimming, walking, mountain biking or horseback riding by appointment.
For fans of tennis and golf, there are playgrounds a few miles away.
For horse-riding enthusiasts there are 2 riding stables in the vicinity, one of which organizes guided horse-riding tours and the other organizes riding courses.
In addition, for owners of horses we have special boxes to accommodate them to retire at us.
In the autumn period, we organize group trips to our chestnut groves, where guests can collect chestnuts for free and take them home.
Fattoria Caldesoni is located in the part of Tuscany where art, culture and history meet nature and its flavors. For those who want to refresh or enrich their knowledge on the subject, within a radius of 20 km, has the opportunity to visit places such as: Anghiari, a beautiful medieval village, Sansepolcro, the city of Piero della Francesca, in whose museum you can admire what critics call "the most beautiful painting in the world" or the "Resurrection"; Città di Castello, a historic border town between the Papal States and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, as well as the city where Alberto Burri was born and where Raffaello da Giovane worked; Caprese Michelangelo, the birthplace of Michelangelo; Abbazia della Verna, where San Francesco received the stigmata; Monterchi, where there is another famous painting by Piero della Francesca, the Madonna del Parto.
The area is also rich in international events such as the Jazz Festival, the Chamber Music Festival, the Palio della Balestra, the Giostra del Saracino, important exhibitions and antique fairs.
