Quata is a stunning, fully renovated 18th century hamlet, nestled amidst thriving nature with stunning views of the Casentino valleys. You can take a dip in the infinity pool and admire the views of Poppi Castle and San Niccolò Castle, or enjoy a pleasant stroll through green countryside, to visit Romena Castle.

The accommodation

The accommodation is furnished in classic Tuscan style, with a few little shabby chic twists, reflecting all that Tuscany has to offer: taste, quality and a love of beauty and tradition. The agriturismo is split in two parts: In the renovated old stables, there are 2independent apartments: - Poppi, with its typical Tuscan interior, offers all you could need with a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. - Rifiglio, also typically Tuscan, with direct pool access and a private loggia for al fresco dining surrounded by nature, comprises a kitchen, lounge with single sofa bed, double bedroom and bathroom. In the main structure you?ll find the rest of the accommodation: - 2 country chic styleapartments: Romena, with lounge-kitchen and bathroom, and Castel San Nicolò, with double bedroom, bathroom and lounge area with double sofa bed and open fire. - 3 rooms with private bathrooms and all the home comforts you could need. - the largest apartment, Borgo alla Collina, offers a breathtaking mezzanine, 2 bedrooms, a stunning lounge and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Guest also have access to a barbecue for preparing delicious grilled meats, to be enjoyed in the woodland with tables and chairs, as well as 2 wood burning ovensfor making pizzas. Breakfast is served in the spacious lounge, and you can also spend time here relaxing with a good book or watching TV with family and friends.

Activities and surrounding

The large garden leads to the scenic swimming pool, with sunbeds and loungers for soaking up the sun. Take a refreshing dip surrounded by green countryside, or simply relax on the floats. Available upon booking: massages, aqua-aerobics and cookery classes with professionals, guided bicycle excursions. Located on the border of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, Quata is ideally positioned for those who love sports, or simply strolling in beautiful landscape. The agriturismo also offers mountain bikes for hire. Just a 5 minute drive away you?ll find a nine hole golf course, and there are also tennis and fishing available nearby. Along with colleague Serena, the agriturismo offers a riding centre, where you can enjoy horseback excursions or lessons in the paddock. 20 km away, in Burraia, you?ll find 2 ski slopes. Visiting the region?s many religious sites is a must, including Vallombrosa, Camaldoli and the Verna Sanctuary. The Casentino is a valley just waiting to be explored, with events, festivals and exhibitions all year round. On request, the owners will guide you through spectacular landscape as you forage for mushrooms and chestnuts, in the right seasons.
