The agriturismo
The Relais La Torre is located in the ancient complex of Longobard origin ( XII century ) along the roman “Via Ariminensis”, a road of great military importance which connected the town of Arezzo with Rimini, and it is just 7 km from Arezzo, 14 km form the A1 motorway exit, roughly 70 km from both Florence and Siena. Dipped in the wide estate amongst vineyards, olive-groves and woods, the relais is part of the fortified complex “La Torre”, with the various constructions composed around a fulcrum of a paved internal space, connecting the main residence with the farm annexes, hosting the suites and the chapel which in the actual structure dates back to 1756.
The accommodation
The structure comprises five suites, a reception area and a shop selling home-farm produce and hand crafted items and a swimming pool.
The rooms, Greppia, Ziraia, Limonaia, La Torre e l’Aia, with independent access, are of Spartan nature comprising of a bedroom with wrought iron bed, living room with sofa bed, and a bathroom with traditional shower. Comforts are completed by a 26 inch LCD monitor-TV with internet connection, and independent heating and air-conditioning. The stay includes bed and breakfast, the latter rigorously on the basis of conserves made from the fruit of the farm, traditionally rustic homemade pastries, fresh bread, extra virgin olive oil, daily fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables. All of the above to spend a few days in an exclusive familiar environment in relaxation and quiet.
Following an open country lane adjacent Relais La Torre we come to an enchanting two floor cottage fully plunged in the green from which you can enjoy a most beautiful tuscan landscape. At the ground floor the accommodation offers a little cooking space, an eating room with fire place, a small sitting-room with a bed sofa and a bathroom; at the first floor two bedrooms with two interior bathrooms.
Activities and surrounding
We are an italian certified biological farm with a recognized organic mark and agritourism, in a very central position only a few kilometres from Firenze, Perugia e Siena and very near Arezzo, Cortona, La Verna, Camaldoli and the four beautiful valleys surrounding Arezzo with many places of historical interest to visit and many other events on program all year round.
