The farm is nestled in the pristine green of the region of Tuscany, it extends with its 650 hectares of land along the right bank of the river Sieve, about 30 km north-east of Florence. The Counts Spalletti Trivelli, Emilian of origin, bought 150 years ago, at the time of the unification of Italy, and to date five generations of the same family have engaged in the care of the production quality of the area's fruit: Chianti Rufina dOCG and 'Extra Virgin olive Oil.
The accommodation
Immersed in the pristine beauty of Tuscany, extending over 650 hectares in the hills that gradually rise from the banks of the Sieve river, lies the Colognole Country Wine Estate, a countryside winegrowing property that exudes history and beauty.
Owned by the Conti Spalletti Trivelli family, Colognole comprises 3 villas and 2 farm residences, all within easy walking distance,
and each lovingly restored, with particular attention paid to respecting Tuscany?s classic architectural elegance. The options are the best for vacations with your family or with friends, or for that romantic weekend as well, or simply to savour serene moments in the tranquillity of the countryside far removed from urban stress.
The Fata apartment is the ideal solution for a medium-size family. It is 90 sq. metres, on 2 stories. The ground floor offers a comfortable sitting room with sofa-bed, access to an outside garden, and a large, comfortable kitchen with stove and dishwasher, its attractiveness heightened by an efficient old-fashioned fireplace. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and the other with 2 singles), and a bathroom with shower; both bedrooms have separate doors to the bathroom. Guests enjoy use of an expansive and exclusive garden, bordered by trees and a boxwood hedge, where they can enjoy the fresh country air and relax. The Fata apartment can hold up to 5 persons.
The Mago apartament, with 120 sq. metres, is the ideal solution for large families or for a group of friends on a trip. It has 2 stories; the ground floor has a spacious entry hall - which still preserves the old oven for bread-baking, that opens into a comfortable sitting room (restructured from an old cellar), and a large, fully-equipped kitchen with tables, chairs, and a fireplace. On the floor above are 4 bedrooms (2 with double beds and 2 with singles) and 2 bathrooms, of which one with bathtub. Guests may enjoy a spacious garden bordered by cypresses, and a BBQ area where they can relax and grill their favourite dishes. The Mago apartment can hold up to 8 persons.
Activities and surrounding
For curiosity, passion and fun of the guests, the estate organizes guided wine and olive oil tastings, visits to wineries and vineyards. At a distance of only 5 km is located the Scopeti Train Station, with frequent connections, makes it easy to reach the center of Florence in about half an hour. The reception organized at the request of shuttle services for guests who do not have their own vehicle.
