Agriturismo Fattoria Pogni

The little village of Fattoria Pogni is located in the heart of the Chianti area between Florence and Siena. Surrounded by stone walls, it is reached through a dirt road among vineyards and olive groves. The Farmstead dates back to the XIVth century, inside are two big farmhouses and a hayloft used for agritourism and the master farmhouse used by the owner. Another building houses the cellars where wine is made, while the older wine cellars are located under the farmhouses. Today, as long ago, they are used to age wines. The quiet and peace are a characteristic quality of this old village, located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Chianti area.

Fattoria Pogni has 1 Villa and 6 exclusive apartments, all recently and carefully renovated, each different from the other. Furnished with taste and an eye for details: with antique Tuscan furniture, walls partly faced in stone, chestnut wood beams and ceilings of Florentine terracotta, floors of handmade Florentine terracotta. The apartments have all comforts: air conditioning, heating system, satellite lcd tv with sky channels, safe, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, mosquito nets at each window, internet WiFi connection. Outside each apartment is a perfectly equipped private area with wrought iron small table and chairs.

VILLA GELSOMINO (10 pax): staying at Villa Gelsomino you will enjoy all the pleasures of a live experience in Chianti, in a luxurious and comfortable restored barn in the center of our medieval village. With its four bedrooms, each equipped with a private bathroom with shower, this villa accommodation is certainly the largest and most comfortable of the entire Fattoria Pogni Resort. On the ground floor you will have a large living room in Florentine terracotta tiles, with dining table, kitchen and sitting area including a large brick fireplace in Tuscan style. Going up, you will enter into four large bedrooms located on mezzanines and different floors, in order to give each their own privacy. You will have the pleasure to dive into the past with all the comforts of modern amenities including indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, LCD TV, fully equipped kitchen with induction cooktops, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Villa Gelsomino offers one of the most spacious private courtyard, with barbecue for private use, sofa, armchairs and a large outdoor dining table set under a cozy roof of reeds. In low and mid season you can rent the bedrooms individually with bed and breakfast service, while in the high season reservations will be accepted only for the entire Villa.

Terrasole (4+2 pax): a two story apartment, with a large living room, kitchen and fireplace. Climbing the internal staircase made of serena stone you reach the first floor. There are two bedrooms, one with a sofa bed and a private terrace and each room has a bathroom with a glass shower stall and tiles in travertine and marble.
Gorgoli (4+2 pax): a two story apartment, with a large lining room, kitchen, fireplace and a sofa bed. Climbing the internal staircase made of Florentine terracotta tiles you reach the first floor. There are two double bedrooms, one with a private terrace and each room has a bathroom with a glass shower stall and tiles in travertine and marble.
Poggio ai Falchi (4+1 pax): apartment located on the first floor of the old master farmstead climbing an old staircase made of serena stone. The apartment is comprised of a living room, kitchen and fireplace. Two double bedrooms and each room has a bathroom with a glass shower stall and tiles in travertine and marble. In the largest bedroom it is possible to add a sofa bed.
Nappolaio (2+2 pax): apartment located on the ground floor of the old master farmstead. The apartment is comprised of a living room with sofa-bed, kitchen and fireplace. Climbing two steps of stone you reach the double bedroom and the bathroom with a glass shower stall and tiles in travertine and marble.
Tramonto (2+2 pax): apartment located inside the old hayloft. This is a two-story apartment comprised of a living room with sofa-bed, kitchen and fireplace on the ground floor. Climbing the internal staircase made of serena stone you reach the double bedroom with private terrace and the bathroom with a glass shower stall and tiles in travertine and marble.
Alba (2+2 pax): apartment located inside a portion of the hayloft, with a large living room on the ground floor and a wonderful bedroom with parquet flooring placed on an intermediate level. The living area is comprised of a large living room with dining room and kitchen and sofa-bed. A beautiful wrought-iron staircase with crystal steps leads to the intermediate floor with the huge bed, a unique piece made of briar-root. The bathroom, with a glass shower stall and tiled with travertine marble, is located on the ground floor of the apartment.
