The agriturismo
The agriturismo is situated in the area of Montelupo Fiorentino, not far from Florence (25 km, 20 minutes by car), and offers a holiday in the countryside, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent food.
8.5 hectares of olive trees and 2.6 of vines: all processing is done on-site and there is a traditional olive mill with granite mill stones. IGT Rosso Toscano and IGT Bianco Toscano and Chianti (winery open for visits) wines can be purchased every Saturday and online.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is on the road between Malmantile (Lastra a Signa) and Montelupo: its name (cavallo means horse in Italian) comes from the horse-like shape which the plantations seem to make when viewed from a distance.
Guests are offered two apartments and one bedroom all with free wi-fi. All have private bathroom with shower. The restaurant serves traditional specialities in an inviting dining room. Guests can also play table tennis, mini football and use the garden with barbecue.
The estate is situated on the Via Vecchia Pisana, the ancient route that linked Florence and Pisa, and which skirts the old town walls of Malmantile.
