The agriturismo
Located on the edge of a wood with holm and downy oaks, rowan trees and cypresses and surrounded by olive trees, the farmhouse boasts a view with Florence’s Duomo and Giotto’s bell tower in the foreground and offers accommodation in two apartments with whirlpool and outdoor swimming pool.
The accommodation
The agriturismo includes 2 apartments, Edera and Ginestra, composed of a double bedroom with bathroom and a kitchen and living room with double bed. The furniture matches the colour of the beams and the wooden ceiling. Each room is equipped with heating and air conditioning, while other facilities include a TV and a wi-fi connection.
Outside is a small courtyard located between two olive trees and equipped with table and chairs. Guests can also use the whirlpool and the small swimming pool overlooking Florence’s Duomo, a car park and the private garden. The farmhouse also produces oil, fruit, walnuts and hazelnuts.
Activities and surrounding
The farmhouse is located about 4 km from the Firenze Sud motorway exit, on the hills overlooking the city. It is surrounded by olive groves and cypress, holm and downy oak woods. The river Arnoflows further down the valley. The town of L’Antellais 1 km away. Behind the agriturismo is the ancient monastery of Montisoni, which overlooks the Arno and Bisenzio plains.
The monastery is located at the top of an ancient Etruscan road, rebuilt by the Romans. The area is rich in water and collection basins. The “Fonte Santa” oasis offers a spectacle of unspoilt nature and a green lung for the city of Florence itself. The monastery can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. Florence can be reached in about 20 minutes by bus or by car.
