The agriturismo

So named because of the soft texture of the soil that brings to mind the softness of butter, La Burraia is nestled in a wide green valley that stretches for about 85,000 square meters.

From the wonders of a flourishing Mediterranean scrubland where a wide variety of animal species dwell, the picturesque towers of the medieval town of Volterra appear on the horizon.

The accommodation

From the old country cottage, complete with stables and barn, 7 apartments have been created: 5 in the main house and 2 in the barn.

Each apartment has attention to detail, from the wooden ceilings to the terracotta floors, to fully revive the charm of tradition and to ensure guests the utmost comfort and privacy. All apartments are located on the ground floor and have an independent entrance and loggia for outdoor dining, barbecue, refrigerator and safe.

 

Also for the exclusive use of guests is a beautiful 15x7m swimming pool, surrounded by a large garden, for relaxing under the sun while listening to the sounds of nature. A unique opportunity for lovers of the Tuscan countryside to savor the silence, scents and colors of this beautiful land.

Activities and surrounding

Burraia's proximity to the major centers of historical and cultural interest, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Volterra, makes it possible to explore these authentic jewels that the past has handed down to us, without giving up the pleasure and tranquility of life in the countryside.In addition to these well-known tourist destinations, Tuscany is rich in charming medieval villages, castles, and parish churches, towering on top of hills covered with vineyards, olive groves and centuries-old plants, witnesses and guardians of a glorious past.

La Burraia is also just a few minutesaway from the town of San Gimignano, which, in addition to a spectacular panoramic view that sweeps as far as the more distant towns of the Val d'Elsa below.

Good base for visiting cities like San Gimignano, Volterra and Colle di Val d Elsa. Florence an hour's drive away. Nice high altitude so nights can be a bit cooler. Clean.
