The agriturismo

The Agriturismo La Tinaia is the realization of our dream of living in nature and meeting people from all over the world. We are on the Chianti hills, just outside Florence and just 10 km from the city centre, in a panoramic position among vineyards, olive groves and woods.

La Tinaia is a relaxing place, the apartments are welcoming and bright, decorated in the rural Tuscan style, all enjoying beautiful views. Florence can be quickly reached by tram from Scandicci, a 10-minute drive (5 km). In less than an hour you can reach the most interesting destinations in Tuscany.

In our area there are beautiful trekking routes of the Italian Alpine Club, small typical restaurants, a pond and a museum park.

We produce and sell excellent Chianti DOCG wine and extra virgin olive.

The accommodation

All the apartments have been restored, decorated and furnished in the typical Tuscan style. We have taken care of every detail, to create cosy and comfortable mansions that give the guest the feeling of being at home. The rooms are spacious and bright with large windows and views of the Chianti hills, the ceilings have beams or brick vaults and the floors are in terracotta. Some apartments are particularly romantic.

The farm offers various vacation possibilities, to satisfy the needs of each one:

cultural with visits to Florence and the most beautiful places in Tuscany; relaxing in the large flowered garden with swimming pool; active, with trekking paths of the Italian Alpine Club and mountain bike routes, horseback riding and golf are not far away and wine and food lovers with our Chianti docg wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting.

The large garden offers spaces equipped for outdoor dining, barbecues, spaces for relax and recreation and a swimming pool with panoramic views.

The Agriturismo La Tinaia is located in the center of a green oasis situated in the hills of Florence, in a panoramic position. The center of Florence can be quickly reached by tram from the Scandicci stop, a few minutes away by car and with free parking. Departures every 5 minutes to the city center.The ride to Florence takes 18 minutes.

If you wish, we will show you our small wine cellar and we will talk about our wine and oil production techniques.

Activities and surrounding

The farm is located on the outskirts of Florence and this allows daily visits to the city, easily reachable by tram in 18 minutes from Scandicci.

In less than an hour you can reach the most suggestive places in Tuscany: Fiesole, Certaldo, Vinci, Pistoia, Siena, S. Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca and Volterra. The agriturismo is a starting point for a tour in the Chianti Classico where you can admire suggestive views and characteristic villages: Castellina, Radda, Volpaia, Greve, Impruneta, etc.
