    "A paradise!"

    09/16/2018

Pietralta was a paradise for us! We had super friendly and loving hosts, very nice meetings with the other guests, and the opportunity either completely relax and unwind, or to make your way and beautiful, very close cities Volterra, San Gimignano, Luca, To visit Siena or Florence. As a self-catering we had everything we needed. Vegan cooking and shopping in the nearby shops was no problem at all. It was just perfect! We will definitely go back there again. We felt very well, and are looking forward to a reunion!

    "A fantastic place to stay"

    07/04/2018

An absolutely out of the world place to stay especially if you are coming from one of the fast paced cities and are looking for a comprehensive relaxation. The place is absolutely picturesque and is run by a mother and son duo along with their two dogs. Its attached to a vineyard and wine cellars. We spent 4 nights and 5 days in the place and had an absolute fantastic time with the family who was extremely courteous. The accommodation is spacious, neat and allows you to de-stress yourself completely. The mother makes some outstanding home cooked Italian food and she even runs a culinary school for people who are interested to learn Italian cooking.

"Perfect week in the Tuscan Hills"

    07/03/2018

We spent a wonderful week at Pietralta at the end of June. Our apartment was in a very old stone refurbished farmhouse in a rustic but modern apartment. Our small private patio overlooked the countryside spotted with vineyards and olive trees. There were large clumps of sage and rosemary planted on the edge of the patio, so the air was scented with herbal smells. We enjoyed sitting there sipping on wines from their vineyards while watching the sun set.
This was a perfect home base to explore nearby Tuscan hill towns.

During our stay we had a cooking lesson with a dear friend of Franka, Arcangela (spoke only Italian). She had a farm near where we were staying. Everything we cooked was fresh from her farm that day. She gathered porcini mushrooms from the forest and killed and dressed one of her rabbits. We made focaccia; tagliatelle from farina flour; fried zucchini and zucchini blossoms; we battered and fried the rabbit; tiramisu for dessert. We ate our feast at a long table outside overlooking the Tuscan hills while the sun set with her family and friends. Couldn't understand a word, but lots of laughter and good times .

Thank you Franka and Stefan, for a wonderful experience and treating us like family.

A beautiful, romantic accommodation with great views of the hilly Tuscan countryside, tranquility, fresh clear air, great large pool and delicious, homemade bread for breakfast. Many thanks to the very warm and helpful hosts Franka and Stephan. I will gladly come again.

The apartment was very nice and much bigger than expected - on a nice, quiet winery. The owners also live on the property and have been very friendly and helpful. You can even taste in-house wines and there are different activities (dinner with the owners - that was really, very good, cooking, etc.). The pool is large and pleasant - we almost always had it for ourselves. I can recommend this house with conscience - we liked it very, very much. A real secret tip.

    "An oasis of peace"

    06/08/2017

The result of the careful and unforgetable recovery of an old farmhouse in which there are now several apartments of different capacities. It is a farm that has focused on the production of excellent wines and an excellent oil: niche propositions for the quantities, but more than enough to satisfy both who is staying and the touristic traveler in search of a chianti DOC and other original wines . The addition of the pool has completed the service offering without distortion, while remaining faithful to the nature of the farm. Those staying here can enjoy the close proximity of many historical and pleasant places such as Certaldo and San Gimignano, but just a few kilometers further to reach Volterra and Siena and Florence is a road show. If you want to be relaxed there is all the space you want and you can walk in the woods. France, which cares for Pietralta's life, is still available to give ideas and advice and to organize initiatives that make the holiday even more enjoyable.

    06/08/2017

My cousin and I stayed here in March. The hospitality and hospitality were exceptional, it was interesting to taste the wines of the company with Stefan and Franca who manage their farm with enormous passion. I recommend breakfast made from freshly baked cakes and organic bio products and a good glass of wine at sunset by the pool !! WE WILL TURN TO YOUR SECURITY !!!
