The agriturismo

The farmhouse is small in size but retains the atmosphere of an old country cottage nestled in a magnificent landscape where you can enjoy peace and tranquility. The property is located within the Monte Giovi Cultural Park, just 20 km from the historic center of Florence.

Podere le Pialle stands out for its eco-responsible behavior, such as the adoption of a photovoltaic electrical system and biomass boilers for the winter, in full respect of the environment and nature.

 

 

The accommodation

Il Podere is acertified organic farm. An important lifestyle choice that the owners love to share with their guests. They produce their own organic extra virgin olive oil and excellent honey. The land surrounding the property has completely maintained its natural integrity.

The farmhouse consists of a cottage next to which there is a large room and an apartment.

The "Uliveto " is located on the ground floor on the large farmyard of Podere le Pialle.

It can accommodate from 2 to 4 people. It has a private bathroom with shower and a very small kitchenette corner equipped with mini fridge, induction fire, dishes and table with chairs.

The "Il Bosco Apartment" is located on the ground floor. Located in the large farmyard of Podere le Pialle, it is accessed through the large glass door. It consists of a bedroom for two people, bathroom with shower, large kitchen and living room with comfortable double sofa bed.

Also available is the restaurant's typical Tuscan cuisine made with products from the garden and the local area, with zero-kilometer menus and dishes made with organic ingredients from the garden and typical products from local farms: the farm strongly supports the goodness of the short supply chain.

All around the cottage is a garden with a beautiful swimming pool, large pergola, deck chairs and swing, and organic vegetable garden.

The farm offers free Wi-Fi service, both in the rooms and in the garden.

The farm has been awarded the 3 sunflowers by the Tuscany region.

Activities and surrounding

The property is just 20 minutes from Florence, in the Florentine mountains, where you can savor the excitement of unforgettable hiking, among olive groves and dense woods, along fascinating itineraries full of surprises.

The road to the farm may appear winding, but it is entirely passable with any type of car and license.

On the farm, the little horse named Unica, our chickens, pigeons and Franco's apiary await you.

Do you know the magical world of bees? Ask Franco to tell you about it and if he is happy to show you, you will be truly amazed!

Near the property there is a sport fishing pond; in November there is olive harvesting, pressing and tasting of new oil with fettunta. Cooking classes are also possible.

Among the many excursions worth mentioning are: Florence with its countless works of art; the historic cities of Tuscany Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca, and Pistoia; the "Strada dei Vini Chianti Rufina e Pomino" route with visits by reservation to the centuries-old castle cellars and wine tastings; thenaturalistic protected area of Poggio Ripaghera in Santa Brigida; the Villa of Poggio Reale in Rufina; the Etruscan excavations at Frascole; the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso; the parish churches and churches of the Florentine Mountains; Mugello, the homeland of the Medici family; and Lake Bilancino. Or a little shopping among Tuscany's outlet stores.
