We are an authentic Tuscan farmhouse in the green countryside in the Mugello, located in the surroundings of Florence near Vicchio. We have chickens, cats, genuine products from our farm; the 7 rooms in our large country house where we live, can accommodate up to 14 people.
All rooms have private bathrooms and are finely furnished in country Tuscan-style with antiques and wooden-beam ceiling. The 4 double rooms entitled to seasons are on the first level of the main building, while the other 3 rooms, one single and two double, are located next door, in the former stables completely renovated.
We are a family run farmhouse with a typical Tuscan restaurant, where you can taste local specialties like tortelli di patate at special prices for our guests. We also offer half-board accommodations.
Our family-run farmhouse offers 7 rooms that accommodate up to 14 people. All rooms are finely furnished according to typical Tuscan-style with antiques and wooden-beam ceilings.
The double rooms Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are on the first floor of the main building, where we also live. All offer breathtaking views over the Tuscan countryside. In the Winter rooms is possible to add one extra single bed upon request, while cradle can be requested for all rooms. All rooms have one internal private bathroom, except for the Spring, whose bathroom is external but still for private use.
The three rooms Sunflower, Wheat and Olive are located in the building next door, i.e. in the former stables that have been completely renovated and turned into cozy accommodations. The Sunflower Rooms is suitable for disabled guests and the Olive Room is a single room; all these rooms have independent entrance.
All our guests have breakfast included and can choose the half-board formula.
Our family-run restaurant is the typical Tuscan restaurant and offers genuine food coming from our farm and local producers. Traditional specialties: “Tortelli di patate” (ravioli stuffed with potatoes) with meat sauce, “Ribollita” (especially in winter), “Pici” with garlic, “Tagliatelle” (homemade noodles with wild boar, duck or rabbit sauce) and also the roast suckling pig, grilled meats or sliced beef.
Personal specialties: “Tortelli del pastore” (shepherd's ravioli stuffed with cheese served with butter and sage or truffle sauce), spelt “Linguine” or “Gnocchi” prepared in various ways according to products in season (for example, in winter the “Linguine” are prepared with a white sauce made by pork and leeks; in summer are prepared with tomatoes, black olives, wild fennel and pecorino cheese), the roast rabbit in “porchetta” and special fried mixtures. Finally, every day we prepare cakes and homemade desserts.
The restaurant is open on Friday and Saturday night and on Sunday both for lunch and dinner. For groups and other openings please feel free to send a request.
We are an authentic farmhouse and our guests can experience the genuine life of the Tuscan countryside. You can come with us to feed the animals, visit the vegetables garden, harvest with us olives and chestnuts during Autumn.
We are located in the Mugello region, that is rich in culture and activities: within short distance there are swimming pools, tennis courts, 18 holes golf course, the Mugello International circuit.
We are also located within 35 kilometers to Florence, that you can reach by train or driving in about 40 minutes.
