The agriturismo
The farmhouse Ulivello in Chianti is located in the heart of Tuscany, in the Chianti territory, within the DOCG Chianti Classico denomination . Moreover, the farmhouse is located halfway between the cities of Greve in Chianti and the centre of Florence, which is only 15 km away.
The farm was born from the passion of two brothers, Federico and Leonardo, and includes an olive grove and a vineyard. They offer tastings of their products, as well as food and wine specialties chosen with extreme care among the best Tuscan productions.
The accommodation
The farm is located in a historical-rural complex, including an important nineteenth-century Villa : Villa Ulivello.
During the last decades of the last century, the complex had fallen into disuse. The building was therefore the object of careful and wise restoration work that has preserved the original materials and architectural structures of greater historical value. In addition, some of the period furniture and equipment have also been preserved.
The business activities take place inside the farmhouse adjacent to the villa, mainly in the rooms that in the past were the stable, the carriage depot - which is the current administration room - and the sharecropper's house.
The surrounding garden also allows for outdoor dining and tasting activities during the summer season.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is located on the ridge along which runs the Via Chiantigiana.It overlooks the rolling hills of Impruneta to the west, while to the east it enjoys a splendid panoramic view over the valley of the Ematorrent.
The farmhouse is also a privileged starting point for easy excursions on foot, discovering the harmonious alternation of vineyards, olive groves and woods of domestic pines, cypresses and oaks, as well as the most typical forms of vine growing in Tuscany. This panorama particularly characterizes the Chiantiarea.
Moreover, the farm is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the cities of Florence (only 15 km away ) and Greve in Chianti . In less than an hour by car it is also possible to reach San Gimignano and Siena, cities of art renowned for their food and wine and medieval traditions.
