The agriturismo
Perched in the Maremma hills, between Mount Amiata, the Orcia Valley and the Costa d'Argento, the agriturismo is surrounded by peaceful nature, with cypress trees, olive trees and vines marking the local landscape, just a stone’s throw from popular tourist destinations.
The accommodation
The agriturismo is split into two parts: Tenuta di Montecucco and Pecora Vecchia.
Tenuta di Montecucco is accessible via a cypress-lined driveway: named after the wine DOC Montecucco, the estate comprises 12 apartments in rustic Tuscan style, with twin/double bedrooms, bathrooms with showers, lounges and kitchens. All apartments include satellite TV and Wi-Fi. There are also large grounds with olive trees around the swimming pool with views of the Ombrone Valley. In summer, the restaurant serves dinners prepared with the farm’s own ingredients, and you’ll also find the following on site: breakfast room, meeting room, billiards room, wellness and fitness area and a shop for tasting and purchasing the farm’s own Montecucco wine. From April 2018, 10 new suites equipped with every comfort will also be available.
Pecora Vecchia is surrounded by plentiful green space. The accommodation offers all the home comforts you could need, with wooden beams to the ceiling and Tuscan terracotta flooring. You’ll find 4 rooms with balconies, 4 rooms with terraces and 2 apartments, each with bedroom, bathroom, lounge, kitchenette, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. The swimming pool cascades down on to the beautiful internal courtyard, and you'll also find a breakfast room and covered private parking.
Guests can tour the farm’s wine cellar, and the agriturismo also hosts weddings, corporate events and training courses.
