The Farmhouse Carbonaio is among the Tuscan hills high Maremma, in a magic silence dipped in the green. It is the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday in full contact with nature.
The Carbonaio is founded on a Colonic house late s. XIX, which has remained unchanged restructure the external structure and to the extent possible part of the interior, doors and windows. Today is divided into three indipendent apartments and provided with every comfort, with a capacity for 12 people, furnished in arte povera.
You can choose the Carbonaio as a starting point for excursions into the splendid towns of Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovrana, where the walks are recommended by Vie Cave: lovely walking tours dug under the open sky on the hills of tufa, which lead traveler to the discovery of the Etruscan necropolis Archaeological Park Cities Toba.
From the Desk property is very easy to reach the crystal sea of ??Argentario, the small island of Giglio, kept pure and undefiled, and visit the picturesque coastal villages or spend a day in the heart of Maremma : Birdie Park, which overlooks the Tyrrhenian Coast, or go to the famous Tarot Garden, located in Capalbio, another village in the fabulous Silver Coast.
For lovers of Lake Bolsena is about 20 minutes from Carbonaio and along the shore you can admire the little towns of Marta, Capodimonte and Montefiascone, to the largest city Viterbo, known as the City of the Popes.
Also you can visit the magnificent cathedral of Orvieto and Civita spectacular Bagnoreggio (the city that dies), located in the near and suggestive shady lending scenario.
For fans of the mountain, in just 40 minutes you can reach, among others, the Monte Amiata, which in winter offers skiing facilities at the forefront, and tours can also advise on the Val d'Orcia and the wonderful cities of Siena and Florence.
Finally a day of complete relaxation you can go to the Terme di Saturnia, which are about 25 minutes from the Cottage, or cercanísimas and equally nice Termas de Sorano, just 5 minutes.
Around Sorano are ideal for walks, where very often you can see deer, hares, porcupines, foxes, pheasants and wild boar site. In the Fiora River with a little luck, sometimes you can see copies of otter, an endangered animal species. And finally we must remember the emotion to admire the starry sky brightness in the serene summer nights away from city pollution.
The Farmhouse Carbonaio offers guests who choose the catering, tasting products and dishes, made with only organic and seasonal produce, upon request, offers the possibility of cooking classes and observe the preparation of bread, cheese, meats, jams, honey and wine, following the old Tuscan tradition.
In full contact with nature and animals Agricultural Lafinca in which is located the Bed can involve collecting olives, chestnuts and Vendemia and see the production of oil, wine and honey ... And you may receive Italian language courses and English language, with native teachers.
For those who prefer to spend a thoroughly planned week can request the creation of customized packages with excursions on horseback or on foot, visits to the Natural Park of Maremma, language courses or cooking, guided visits to the most important cities of Tuscany, etc ...
