The agriturismo

In the enchanting Tuscan Maremma, 300 m from the Orbetello lagoon, amidst the seaside hamlets of Porto Ercole and Porto S. Stefano, a "true" farm just a stone's throw from the beautiful sandy beaches of the Feniglia Nature Reserve and the Tombolo della Giannella. Here, perched on the slopes of Monte Argentario (after which the agriturismo is named), surrounded by green Mediterranean macchia, olive trees, vineyards and golf courses, you can enjoy the authenticity of the Tuscan countryside, in total relaxation. The perfect destination for sport-loving guests.

The accommodation

The agriturismo is a traditional farmstead, on which you'll find two separate houses - Gelso and Teva - with 13 guest rooms of various sizes (twin or double, triple and quadruple) and 5 furnished apartments (for 2-3 people or 4-6 people). Each of the two farmhouses has its own private parking, a large garden with sunbeds, a gazebo and a barbecue area.

The agriturismo's restaurant is in the converted granary, and serves typical Maremma dishes, prepared using short supply chain ingredients. Farm produce is available to purchase on site, including extra virgin olive oil and red and white wines.

Activities and surrounding

Guests can explore the agriturismo's stunning surroundings on foot or by mountain bike, along a plethora of pathways between the hills and the sea. Just 1 km takes you to the "Il Giro del Globo" cycle track, which runs along the eastern Orbetello lagoon, where you can admire beautiful native flora and fauna, from wild boar to fallow deer, foxes, cormorants and flamingos.

For those who love rock climbing, Monte Argentario offers two spectacular excursions: Falesia di Capo d’uomo and Falesia di Canne d’organo. And sport-loving visitors will be spoilt for choice: there's an 18 hole golf course (just 10 minutes away), and you'll also find 2 polo fields, a sand horse racing track, stables and a Club House. You can also enjoy sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, diving and snorkelling in a sea rich in fish, marine plants and colourful sponges.

You can hire a dinghy or boat to explore the headland and appreciate its hidden coves, caves, islets and beaches, direct from the sea, as well as trying a spot of sea fishing.
