The agriturismo

Surrounded by the woods of the Tuscan Maremma, the Rifugio Seremus is an organic farmhouse on top of a hill a few kilometers from the sea. The 28-hectare estate is located at 250 meters above sea level and offers a breathtaking view of the Val di Cornia. A stay at the Seremus Refuge is an immersion in nature with an incredibly rich and preserved biodiversity, an ideal experience for contemplators, dreamers and nature lovers in its purest form. In our BIO-certified farm we mainly produce olive oil and honey. We grow fruit, vegetables and aromatic plants according to the principles of permaculture,. In our laboratory we produce essential oils (lavender, thyme, rosemary, helichrysum), infusions and herbal teas of the plants that surround us.

 

 

 

The accommodation

Guests are welcomed in apartments from 2 to 5 beds, furnished in a sober and authentic style. All have a living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bedroom with twin beds, bathroom and veranda with table and chairs.

In the main house there are 2 apartments, the Mandala and the Cypresses, on the ground floor. In the barn there are two other two-roomed apartments, the Biolago, on the ground floor in front of the natural swimming pool, and the Oliveto, on the first floor with a splendid panoramic balcony. The three-room apartment  Foresta has two bedrooms and a veranda. The Lavanda suite is on the ground floor, in front of the swimming pool.

The biopool is a natural pool, without chlorine or chemicals. The water is purified from aquatic plants by phytodepuration, thus reproducing the principle of self-purification typical of natural aquatic environments.



We accept all pets that have large spaces where to roam, such as the olive grove and the forest that surrounds us.

Activities and surrounding

Services, shops and restaurants are located in the nearby village of Suvereto, considered one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Tuscany. The beaches are about 20 km away, in the beautiful Gulf of Baratti, or in the Park of Rimigliano in San VIncenzo.
From the Seremus Refuge there are magnificent excursions into nature on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback.
Sassetta Spa is a 15-minute drive away and features a wellness centre.

As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops, we run the courses.
