The agriturismo
Just 600 m from the crystal clear sea at Le Rocchette in Castiglione della Pescaia, the agriturismo was completely renovated in 2011 by the owners, Lorenzo and Barbara, to accommodate guests in a countryside setting with olive groves and Mediterranean shrubland, comforted by air-conditioned rooms, all in keeping with the country/Maremma-style tradition.
The accommodation
The agriturismo has two apartments, Bluand Verde, nestled on the peaceful farm, surrounded by hectares of Mediterranean shrubland and only 600 m from the sea. The apartments have a spacious living room with comfortable sofa bed, fully-equipped kitchen, including oven and dishwasher, double bedroom and bathroom with shower and bidet. Outside, there is a private garden and a large porch with table and chairs.
There is also a covered parking space, a large shared barbecue area and a spacious garden with sun loungers, deckchairs and toys for children.
The agriturismo offers guests the opportunity to taste and buy authentic produce from Lorenzo’s farm, such as olive oil, vegetables and seasonal fruit, jams, purées and medicinal and aromatic herbs.
A veritable “botanical” garden surrounds the whole agriturismo.
Activities and surrounding
Lovers of relaxation can enjoy the peacefulness of the farm and relaxin the communal park, or take pleasant strolls through the olive groves and farm fields. Several trails nestled in Mediterranean shrubland branch off from the agriturismo and can be covered by bike or on foot, with a breathtaking view over Punta Ala and the Rocchette cliffs.
From October to March, it is possible to spend a weekend riding on the enchanting beaches of Le Rocchette, Punta Ala and Cala Violina.
Just 5 minutes away by bike, on the Le Rocchette beach is the SURF and SUP School "MAREMMA SOUL" Sposored RRD, run by the owners of the agriturismo. SUP (Stand Up Paddle) and Surfing courses are available at the school and SUP and surfboards are available for hire. The school offers the opportunity to go on SUP excursions around the Castello delle Rocchette, with mask and flippers.
Nearby, guests can try their hand at windsurfing, kitesurfing and catamaran sailing. Also worth a visit: the Uccellina Park, the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, Elba island, the bay of Baratti and Populonia, the beaches of Cala Violina and Cala Civetta, Talamone and Ansedonia.
