The agriturismo is located in the beautiful context of the Tuscan Maremma, at the foot of the medieval town of Massa Marittima and a few kilometres from the most beautiful seaside resorts on this coast, such as Follonica (17 km), Punta Ala (30 km) and Castiglione della Pescaia (35 km).

The six beautifully restored nineteenth-century farmhouses, scattered around the main house, are the ideal choice for sports and nature lovers.

Parco dei Lecci: the three apartments and seven rooms next to the villa are served by a swimming pool immersed in a beautiful park of pine trees, with a view over Massa Marittima. The rooms offer an alternative for those who prefer hotel-like accommodation. The restaurant is about 400 m away.

Podernovo: a beautiful farm in a stunning location next to the restaurant and about 200 m from the pool, consisting of two apartments connected by a large terrace. Private garden with sun loungers, tables and umbrellas.

Lame: large farmhouse in a panoramic position composed of three apartments. Large garden with garden furniture. Situated around 200 m from the restaurant and from the fitness centre. Next to one of the swimming pools.

Poderino: next to Ceppo, 500 m from the Fitness Centre and 800 m from the restaurant. Composed of two apartments with direct access to the farmhouse garden.

Cicalino: farmhouse with three apartments on the ground floor and three on the mezzanine. The cottage is next to one of the swimming pools and the fitness centre (sauna, gym, whirlpool, massage room). Restaurant 400 m.

The estate also offers its customers meals prepared in its restaurant, from which guests can enjoy views of enchanting beauty. The excellent dishes offered each day are the result of a careful selection. and combine quality ingredients with the traditional flavours of the Tuscan Maremma. The breakfast buffet is particularly varied.

At our farm you will find a charging station with two Type 2 connectors and an available power of up to 22 kW, more than enough to recharge your car in about two hours. The power supply for the two connectors, as well as for the entire structure, is provided by electricity from certified renewable sources, in collaboration with A2A. By providing this new service to our customers, we are happy and proud to contribute to the pursuit of sustainable transport, giving the possibility to electric car owners to stay at the Tenuta Il Cicalino with maximum peace and comfort.

The estate offers its guests the following services for a relaxing stay: 4 outdoor swimming pools, an heated indoor swimming pool, 5-a-side football pitch, gym, 3 whirlpool baths (one with chromotherapy), 3 saunas (2 Finnish and 1 infra-red), bar, massage service, conference room (capacity 80 persons), Internet access, hiking and jogging trails within the estate and laundry service.

For lovers of road and mountain biking, bike rental, guided tours and dozens of tours and single trails offer visitors the chance to discover the most hidden, unspoilt parts of the area, to experience unique emotions and enjoy breathtaking landscapes. At disposal lockable storage rooms for bikes with charging possibility for E-bikes, cleaning area with water connection, documents for planning the bike and mountain bike tours, repair service for bikes - directly in the estate or mediation to the bike shop, laundry service also for bike clothes.

The Mediterranean climate and the ideal geographical position means guests can enjoy their stay whatever the time of year, visiting the beaches, coves and pine forests of the Tyrrhenian coast looking over towards the island of Elba, and medieval villages rich in history. They can also enjoy forests and trails equipped for horse riding, walking, mountain biking, an unspolit natural environment and quality food products.

The area of the Colline Metallifere is located in a central location for places of cultural interest such as Siena, Florence and Pisa, which can be reached in less than 90 minutes. Nearby, there are also unique places like the Abbey of San Galgano or the geothermal area of Larderello, with its Museo della Geotermia (Geothermal Museum). The cultural vitality of the Alta Maremma is also evident in the vast number of events in the area, especially from spring to autumn.

The “Monteregio di Massa Marittima” wine route: following a wine trail means accepting an invitation to explore in depth a local area within whose boundaries a certain type of wine production takes place. We invite you to travel round the small strip of the Maremma enclosed between the sea and the peaks of the of the Colline Metallifere, the origin of Monteregio DOC wines from Massa Marittima.

Following the aromas of wine, you will take part in guided visits to wineries and cellars open for tasting, along a trail that includes wine bars, restaurants offering local specialties, and workshops where craftsmen create products of quality.

The Alta Maremma, finally, is the green heart of southern Tuscany: tens of thousands of hectares of forest, served by an extensive network of pathways, surrounded by natural parks and protected areas, make this area a popular destination for lovers of nature and outdoor sports. There are endless possibilities for hiking, horseback riding and guided mountain bike tours.

The closeness of the sea means guests can go fishing and practise all kinds of water sports. For golf enthusiasts, Punta Ala (30 km) and Gavorrano (20 km) offer 18-hole courses.
