The agriturismo
This ancient farm in the Maremma area of Tuscany is located in the municipality of Massa Marittima.
The property extends over 700 hectares, a fourth of which is used for grains, meadowlands, olive groves and vineyards.
The accommodation
The agriturismo has a family atmosphere, lovely rooms or suites, a rich breakfast buffet, a large garden, a swimming-pool with a view, a riding school; it raises Cinta Senese pigs outdoors, produces great wines; a tranquil spot with many opportunities for excursions.
The main buildings date to the 1800s and are surrounded by a garden park with centuries-old trees. There are 23 rooms divided into 3 categories (all with shower/WC):
- Villa: rooms of antique elegance.
- Podere: recently renovated rooms with air conditioning.
- Suite: rooms ideal for families or friends, with 1-2 bedrooms with bathroom, a comfortable eat-in kitchen and air conditioning.
The common lounge has a fireplace, satellite TV and Wi-Fi internet access. The garden holds the large swimming-pool and, in summer, one can dine outdoors, in the ancient courtyard.
