Surrounded by 14 hectares of olive grove with 6,000 olive trees from which to obtain a tasty organic olive oil, Villa Preselle, in the southern Tuscan countryside in the heart of Maremma, is dominated by a monumental mid-nineteenth-century villa, surrounded by a splendid garden shaded by Mediterranean pines.

The accommodation

A splendid mid-19th-century villa, completely renovated, houses nine rooms with breathtaking views of the Maremma hills, and eight apartments for a relaxing stay.

Each accommodation maintains the original rustic Tuscan style of the furnishings, in a refined and perfect blend of antique and modern.

Outside, an immense, manicured and welcoming garden, with sweeping views of the centuries-old olive grove and surrounding countryside, completes the enchanting and exclusive location of Villa Preselle.

The garden and pool offer breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

Inside is the restaurant, open for lunch and dinner.

Activities and surrounding

Villa Preselle is the ideal starting point for visiting both the countryside and wineries and getting to know the beaches of the area.

The property is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, a corner of still unspoiled nature where the green of the countryside meets the crystal blue of the sea and the golden sand of the most beautiful beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast.

It is possible to organize horseback riding and bicycle tours, with and without a guide.

Sea

A few kilometers from Grosseto, along the coast, it is possible to visit enchanting seaside resorts. Marina and Principina with their long sandy beaches lined with pine forest; the Maremma Regional Park for a day immersed in nature discovering wildlife, hares, foxes, deer, pheasants and wild boars. Not far away is the small seaside village of Talamone and the Argentario coast with its many coves among the rocks. Toward the north, the Maremma coast offers the resorts of Castiglione della Pescaia and then Scarlino again with the splendid beach of Cala Violina.

History and Tradition

The hills of Maremma are characterized by many small medieval villages rich in history, tradition and flavors. Worth a visit are Sorano and Pitigliano with its characteristic buildings made of Tufo stone; Sovana with its Romanesque-Gothic-style cathedral; Montemerano, where you can still breathe an atmosphere of bygone times; and Saturnia with its hot springs and renowned waterfalls.

Art and Culture.

Easily accessible to Tuscany's best-known art cities: Siena known as the city of the Palio; Pisa and its Piazza dei Miracoli with the famous Leaning Tower; San Gimignano the city of beautiful towers; Florence with the splendid Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery and Giotto's Bell Tower.
