The agriturismo
The farm was established as far back as 1848, when the Gherardesca counts granted "preselle" (parcels of land) to the peasants, to put an end to the discontent that was rife among the poorer classes.
Our family got a presella of the plan, in the locality of Cerreta. Where there was scrubland soon sprang up vineyards and olive groves and the "little houses," for the Presellant's day. Since then the land has been cultivated with the same care and with increasing skill, and the "little house" is now a small farmhouse.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has 2 independent apartments in which the Tuscan style has been maintained by furnishing the rooms with old restored tables, closets and sideboards.
The apartments consist of a double bedroom, sofa bed, kitchen with living room and bathroom (one of which is handicapped accessible).
Outside, the gazebo (one per apartment) provides shelter from the sun during the hottest hours of the day, and the garden is available to guests.
Activities and surrounding
Beautiful beaches are just a few minutes' drive away, as is the historic town of Castagneto Carducci also visible from the farmhouse.
