The agriturismo
Just a short distance from the lidos of the popular Etruscan Coast, around 23 km from Pisa and 37 km from Lucca, amidst woodland-covered kills, this old water mill, once used to grind cereals, has been fully renovated to create four apartments, now a beautiful farmhouse with stylish furnishings and a swimming pool.
The land is cultivated with a monovarietal olive, Leccio del Corno, from which a particular Tuscan variety of oil is obtained, highly appreciated for its organoleptic properties and high polyphenols content.
The Morra creek is ideal for walking and enjoying the freshness of the trees and the water.
The accommodation
Mulino della Rivolta is one of the many “retricine” mills of the Morra river valley built since 1200. From its construction in 1810 it was active for around 20 years until the completion of the Colognole aqueduct. This work took water from the mills of the valley, which gradually lost their driving force.
Today, the farmhouse is furnished in Tuscan style, featuring typical elements such as terracotta paving, exposed beams and rustic furniture. The guest rooms are air conditioned, with flat screen TVs and a lounge area; the two-room apartments include TVs, Wi-Fi, kitchenettes with fridge, oven and dishwasher (and air conditioning on request).
La Morra is a three-room apartment with a double and a twin bedroom, lounge-kitchen with sofa bed and a gazebo for outdoor dining. Il Granaio is a three-room apartment with two double bedrooms, a spacious lounge-kitchen with three-quarter sofa bed (1.40 m wide) with direct access from the solarium, also with gazebo and outdoor table and chairs. The two-room apartment Le Macine has one double bedroom and a sofa bed that can be converted into two single beds, as well as a kitchen and a disabled bathroom.
