Guests may visit the farm’s vineyards and olive groves: a stroll amidst Tuscan country life. The staff also organizes visits to olive presses with explanations and info on the production cycle of oil making (the farm produces excellent olive oil). Thanks to collaboration with the celebrated Osteria del Vecchio Olivo, guests may enjoy guided food tastings of traditional dishes from Tuscany and Lucca’s countryside.
For those who love art, culture, and history, you may visit the picturesque medieval hamlet of Montecarlo (on foot) with its imposing Fortress, and the nearby city of Lucca (circa 20 minutes by car) to see the impressive medieval walls, the ancient amphitheater square, the historic center and the splendid villas of Lucca. We rented the cottage "The Princess" with some friends in the days around New Year 2020. Everything's top-notch. The large apartment structured on two floors, very clean, equipped with all the comforts (dishes, linen, heating that made us absolutely not notice the cold temperatures outside). When we arrived we found a very good bottle of wine of their production. We were greeted by Mrs. Arianna who was immediately very helpful and kind, who allowed us to have a tasting of the wine and oil produced by the Agriturismo. On New Year's Eve we ate in the restaurant attached to the Casolare and even there we were greeted warmly and kindly. We tasted some of their dishes that were, to say the least, superlative. Without a shadow of a doubt we highly recommend it and hope to return to it.

We've visited Agriturismo Principato for 5 nights. Ariana, our contact, welcomed us at the restaurant. Together we drove to the appartement. Everything was perfectly fine. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine from the farm itself. The appartement was really clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. We visited the restaurant 3 times because it was on walking distance so we could both enjoy a glass of wine. We would definitely recommand to go there at least once :) Ariana facilitated a wine and olive oil tasting for just the 2 of us at the "production facility" of the farm.
Nothing but positive words for this agriturismo!!
I stayed with my husband and daughter in the apartment "il canarino", furnished with a lot of style and attention to every detail. One of the things that struck us was finding a bottle of the oil they produced for free, a sign that the managers love to "pamper" guests. There were 2 changes of towels and kitchen towels (never before) and pool towels, not to mention tea kettle, toaster and microwave, all in very good condition and fully functional. Simone and Arianna were always available for any need you might have. Excellent dinner at the restaurant located in the property of 'Agriturismo. Arianna made us taste oil and wine with absolute professionalism and courtesy, congratulations! We'd love to come back if that happens.
