Agriturismo San Giacomo has a history made of many small sacrifices faced by Pietro, who came to Tuscany at an early age, thanks to his work and the support of his family, has managed, to date, to create a unique and incomparable environment; together with Pietro, Angela and their three children, guests can rediscover some aspects of a country life now almost forgotten:the sowing, the reaping, the cheerful tables withAngela's genuine food.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is located at the foot of the Balze of Volterra and surrounded by the characteristic hills of Tuscany, extending for about 200 hectares of land, devoted for the most part to the cultivation of cereals and, the remainder, dedicated to the care of the forest and olive groves.
It has 8 large and spacious apartments, which accommodate from 4 to 6 people each.
Inside the structure guests can enjoy every comfort: television, washing machine, dishwasher, internet, laundry service, free use of the pool and finally outdoor table with chairs and umbrella.
The pool, surrounded by cypress and olive trees, overlooks a breathtaking view, a cool breeze blows constantly from the sea and makes the temperature pleasant even on the hottest days of summer. At the property you can find some aspects of rural life now almost forgotten: the sowing, harvesting, the cheerful tables to celebrate the harvest set with genuine food cooked by Angela, one of the managers.

FromAgriturismo San Giacomo you can easily reach in ten minutes the historical city ofVolterra, which, given its particular location, allows you to reach the most important cities of Tuscany such as Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Lucca, with ease and speed. Guests can enjoy a vacation of absolute tranquility thanks to the walks in the grounds of the company and the long paths that lead into the woods, also for fans the possibility of fishing in the lake inside the property.
Volterra, city of history and alabaster
It is located on the upper course of the river Era, almost on the border between the provinces of Pisa, Florence and Siena, an ancient village that has always been synonymous with alabaster. It is Volterra.

Hi, I am Pietro and I am 74 years old.
I have been managing Agriturismo San Giacomo since 2008 along with my family.
We take care of: we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to meet new and interesting people all the time which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially like the warm family welcome.
