The agriturismo

Nestled in thehills of the Tuscan countryside in the town of Crespina Lorenzana, Colle Prana is ideally located for the sea and for visiting various cities of art. Just 20 minutes from the sea, 30 minutes from Pisa and Livorno, 1 hour from Florence, 20 minutes from Volterra and 15 minutes from the largest Buddhist monastery in Italy: Pomaia.

The influences of the proximity to the sea can be felt and the Mediterranean scrub explodes in all its smells and scents. A small village welcomes guests with its breathtaking view, then go into the farm, get lost and find yourself among olive trees , vineyards, pastures and woods. The farmhouse is located on a hillock, a hill in the Pisan Chianti area, so you will never suffer the heat of the plain.

The accommodation

The farmhouse offers hospitality in apartments, renovated in 2017, available in various types. Thefamily management makes agriCulture and hospitality its strong point.

The apartments are allindependent, simple, cozy and functional. They have a kitchen and you can do your shopping in the area to cook independently in the apartment (there are a couple of supermarkets, several small grocery stores, a renowned shop of typical local products and the butcher, with excellent value for money).

 

At guests' disposal there are also some green areas, common areas and sharing spaces, such as a small romantic terrace; the barbecue area for pleasantbarbecues; the small library (withbook crossing and book sharing activities), where it is also possible to listen to music; the billiard room etc.

In the 18-hectare farm, vines , olive trees and cereals are cultivated. There is also a synergistic vegetable garden and a beautiful wood.

 

The farmhouse also offersbreakfast and restaurantservice. The breakfast is Italian, with eggnog made with fresh eggs just picked up in the farm; jams and honey of own production; homemade cakes etc.. The restaurant offerstraditional dishesand wine ofown production and not, all at popular prices. Reservation is required.


At guests' disposal there are also bicycles for excursions, ascents and descents.

Activities and surrounding

The farmhouse is ideally located for the sea and for visiting various cities of art. Only 20 minutes from the sea, 30 minutes from Pisa and Livorno, 1 hour from Florence, 20 minutes from Volterra and 15 minutes from the largest Buddhist monastery in Italy: Pomaia.

 

Seaside resorts: the most beautiful places are from Livorno down south.

- Bao Bao Beach in Cecina: free sandy beach, preceded by a wonderful pine forest, ideal for a picnic;

- Cala Furia and Cala del Leone: beautiful beaches of stones and rocks;

- Vada: white beach and blue water;

-Elba Island, Giglio Island and Capraia Island: the islands are all easily reached by ferry from Piombino (about an hour away);

- TotteMozza, San Vincenzo, Cala Violina, Gulf of Baratti.

 

Thermalresorts: the nearest thermal baths are those of Casciana, where foronly 10€ you can access the huge hot water swimming pool, with lawn, bar, hydromassage etc. Nearby, however, there are also the Tomboloin Marina di CastagnetoCarducci, or the Resort Meraviglioso,where for 40€ you can spend the whole day in a huge cave-shaped structure, with thalassotherapy and all kinds of saunas andTurkish baths.

 

Cultural places: several cultural destinations preferred by tourists are easily reachable from the farmhouse.

- Pisawith its famous Tower of Pisa and theCampo dei Miracoli;

-Florence, very easy to reach also by train;

- Thenatural parkof Orbetello;

- TheCinque Terre, in Liguria, only an hour and a half away;

- Lunigiana,with its castles and rivers, only an hour away.

I have been managing Colle Prana - Agricoltura e ospitalità in Toscana since 2016 with my wife.
As well as we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to pursue a passion which led me to run an agriturismo.
