The agriturismo
The organic farm offers accommodation in the farmhouse of 1846, in the Leopoldina style, which is the heart of the farm. The building, built on the crest of a hill, overlooking the valley of the river Era, a few kilometers from the hamlet of Fabbrica, an ancient fortress of Pisa, still today preserves its great charm and forwards with his sound a feeling of peace and of "wisdom." In the restoration and "construction", over the years, the garden, we tried just to maintain and enhance this atmosphere. We want our guests to truly disconnect from the hectic pace of everyday life, slow down, relax, enjoy the green, the scents of nature.
The accommodation
The organic farm offers accommodation in the farmhouse of 1846, in the Leopoldina style, which is the heart of the farm. The building, built on the crest of a hill, overlooking the valley still today preserves its great charm and forwards with his sound a feeling of peace and "wisdom". In the restoration and "construction", over the years, the garden, we tried just to maintain and enhance this atmosphere. Currently we produce extra virgin olive oil, wine and cereals, you can taste and buy at the company. The cottage is less than two kilometers from a small typical Tuscan village, which are in addition to the bakery, newsagent and food also a pharmacy, a bank and a post office. The central location close to major cities of Tuscany makes it an ideal place to combine a holiday of relaxation and culture. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Voltera, San Gimignano and Siena are all within a short time. The quietness and contact with nature are what we offer our guests. We have four apartments, two bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments, each with special features, all very large, restored and furnished in respect of architecture and the farmhouse-style and attention to detail. Each apartment has the possibility to use a table, chairs and umbrella in the garden as well as the common wide veranda overlooking the pool. Each apartment has central heating system. We offer our guests a swimming pool depth 1.30 meters, equipped with sun chairs, sun beds, enclosed by a laurel hedge and closed by a gate, a small playground for the little ones, a large veranda, overlooking the pool, under which to relax with a good book or to have a barbecue, a garden chessboard, two bicycles. The washing machine, common for all apartments, is available free for guests. We will be happy to arrange tastings of extra virgin olive oil, visits to mills, cellars, companies that produce typical products. And 'you can request Tuscan cooking classes, Italian language courses, walking or horseback riding. More simply, it will be a pleasure to talk with you of walks to do or places to discover in the area of ??rural traditions and systems of production and the products that you can find here.
Activities and surrounding
The area is very rich in landscape and more than other more popular areas of Tuscany has retained its authenticity. In the small village less than 2 kilometers from the farm there are a bakery, grocery stores, bars, a general store, the bank .. Walking along the road down to the valley and leads to the river, about 2 km from us c ' is a good restaurant with a beautiful garden. In 10 minutes you drive you can reach the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli and the impressive Teatro del Silenzio. Many are small, quaint Tuscan village, a short distance from us. Volterra, not to be missed, is about a 30 minute drive. The nearest supermarket is about 10 km.
