The agriturismo
The family-run farmhouse is located on the hills around Volterra.
With over 15 years of experience, with its apartments, a restaurant serving typical dishes, the swimming pool, its animal farms and a beautiful landscape, it represents a very complete and interesting accommodation facility.
The accommodation
The farm is located on a dominant hill from which you can enjoy an unforgettable landscape.
4 finely restored apartments, equipped with every comfort, including fireplace and TV, are available to guests, who can spend quiet days, walking, on foot or on horseback, along the various paths that cross olive groves and woods, savoring the taste Grandma Maria's Tuscan home cooking or enjoying moments of relaxation in the swimming pool surrounded by nature.
Collevicchi farmhouse:
- two-room apartment consisting of large living room and kitchenette, double bedroom and a single bed, large bathroom with shower.
- three-room apartment consisting of a large living room and equipped kitchenette, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two beds, large bathroom with shower.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo’s central position makes it handy for reaching the main cities of art in Tuscany, such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the beaches of the Etruscan Coast.
Guests can go on group outings to the sea, along with other guests from the agriturismo, on a spectacularly beautiful stretch of rocky coastline: picnic lunch with food and drinks from the agriturismo, return by boat; ask staff for advice about a tour of Volterra; go on guided tours, on request, to visit the farm’s animals (pigeons, horses, pheasants...); participate in excursions to visit nature parks in the area.
From the agriturismo, it is possible to reach spas and local hot springs while, on site, guests can pick vegetables from the garden or attend the typical dinner and the free dinner, featuring spaghetti and pizza, as well as give the cook a hand.
There are fishing and riding facilities near the agriturismo.
There is also the opportunity to go hunting on the farm: available to hunters there are 360 hectares of varied terrain, an enclosed area measuring about 35 hectares with 20 turrets for killing wild boars, a lake with about 15 partitions for hunting mallards, ample parking, a room for storing game as well as plucking and many other services, including a pheasant farm.
