The agriturismo
The farmhouse Villino del Grillo was born from the renovation of a small barn of our family-run farm. the structure is furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, with original doors and windows and an antique wrought-iron bed.
the cottage is part of the Pierantozzi family's private property, so it is completely independent and private, it has a large garden for the exclusive use of guests.
The Villino del Grillo is situated on a hill, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in a panoramic position overlooking San Gimignano and the medieval village of Certaldo Alto.

The accommodation
The Villino del Grillo farmhouse was born from the renovation of a small barn, on a small family-run farm. It is located in the center of a 4-hectare estate in the hills of San Gimignano and stands out for its tranquility.
A place that makes guests feel at ease surrounded by a unique atmosphere, full of intimacy, which makes the "Villino del Grillo" a nest of refuge to find peace and quiet, on a small farm, tied to ancient traditions.
Consisting of a single apartment, with bedroom, living room, fireplace, bathroom, equipped with air conditioning, Internet access wi-fi and every other kind of comfort, is the ideal place to spend an unforgettable holiday, in absolute peace, surrounded by campaign San Gimignano, even in winter.
Inserted in a landscape of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, which is centered around the noble and rustic hills of "Chianti Colli Senesi" and "Vernaccia di San Gimignano," the Farm "Villino del Grillo" has framed between the beautiful towers San Gimignano and the characteristic medieval village of "Certaldo Alto", the birthplace of "Giovanni Boccaccio".
The living area consists of a fully equipped kitchenette with TV antenna, satellite dish (Hotbird), fireplace and Internet ADSL wi-fi LAN.
The room, with double bed, where you can add another bed or cot for baby, is equipped with a spacious bathroom with shower, washing machine (exclusive use of guests) and Internet ADSL wi-fi LAN.
From the living area leads to a large terrace that leads to a garden of 60 square meters, completely fenced and lighted, (for the exclusive use of guests), with a table and chairs in the shadow zone.
The whole structure is equipped with independent air conditioning and heating.
The parking space is inside the private courtyard, closed with an automatic gate. Guests will be provided with the gate remote control.
The structure is equipped with every type of household appliance and dishes for preparing meals but we do not supply food.
It also provides free: hair dryer, iron, ironing board, clothes rack, toaster, microwave oven, coffee machine, barbecue, deckchairs, outdoor tables and chairs, mountain bikes.

Activities and surrounding
San Gimignano is an Italian town of 7,770 inhabitants, located in the province of Siena in Tuscany. Due to the characteristic medieval architecture of its historic center it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site of San Gimignano, despite some twentieth-century restorations, is mostly intact, in the 14th-14th century and is one of the best examples of urban organization in the communal age in Europe.
San Gimignano is situated on the hills of the "Val d?Elsa", in the heart of the "Chianti", it owes its fame mainly to its innumerable medieval towers. In the past the towers were a symbol of power and prestige of the rich bourgeois families, to which they belonged, the towers today make this town, with an ancient flavor, one of the most suggestive and characteristic of Tuscany. A place where time has stopped, which has kept its fortified village structure intact, with a treasure of history, art and culture.
The extraordinary spectacle that San Gimignano offers its visitors is represented by its towers. High and mighty, the nobles competed to build the highest tower, the most solid, the most beautiful; it represented a symbol of prestige, like the ?Torre Grossa? of the Palazzo del Popolo, today the seat of the Municipality, of 54 meters. Piazza del Duomo is a monumental center. On this square overlook the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria, a building dating back to 1056 which houses masterpieces by Taddeo di Bartolo, Benozzo Gozzoli, Lippo Memmi and Bartolo di Fredi, the wooden statues by Jacopo della Quercia depicting the Annunciation and the Archangel Gabriel. A real gem is the Chapel of Santa Fina, patron saint of San Gimignano, a refined Renaissance building by Giuliano and Benedetto da Maiano, decorated by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Attached to the Collegiate are the Museums of Sacred and Etruscan Art, with paintings, sculptures and vestments, as well as archaeological remains from the surrounding Etruscan excavations.
In the same Piazza del Duomo is the Palazzo del Podestà, built in 1239. In the adjoining Piazza della Cisterna, the center of the village, is the medieval cistern which supplied water to the population. It is bordered by ancient buildings of inestimable beauty and historical interest.
From the highest point of the city, the "Rocca", which still preserves part of the ancient walls and a keep, you can admire one of the most suggestive views of the town and the surrounding countryside.
In the beautiful countryside surrounding San Gimignano, the famous "Chianti" and "Vernaccia di San Gimignano" wines are produced.
