The agriturismo
Casa Mulinello, restored in the Tuscan tradition and furnished with the owner's family furniture, is part of the Capanne di Sopra estate. The site is located 1.3 km from Montefollonico and 7 km from Montepulciano, in a secluded and panoramic position, with sweeping views of the Montepulciano valley, the temple of San Biagio, the summit of Mount Amiata and the hills of the Val d'Orcia.
To preserve the rural character we have chosen not to equip ourselves with a swimming pool. About 400 meters from the provincial road, the house is accessible only by a private dirt road, in the midst of olive groves, vineyards and woods, in a peaceful Tuscan countryside setting. Guests have the availability of the entire house and the adjacent lawn.
The accommodation
Casa Mulinello is a 90-square-meter villa spread over two floors.
On the ground floor is a living room with a fireplace. From here there is access to the three bedrooms: one with a double bed, another with two single beds, and the third with two single beds and an attached bathroom with shower. The single beds can be joined. The other bathroom has a bathtub.
A wooden staircase leads to the mezzanine, where there is a large kitchen/dining room with a fireplace for a barbecue. Access to the kitchen is also through a terrace equipped with iron chairs and table.
Another terrace, shaded by a pair of centuries-old oak trees, overlooks the Montepulciano valley.
Activities and surrounding
You will be in the middle of a region with sites of great historical and artistic interest: Montepulciano, Pienza and the Val d'Orcia ( UNESCO World Heritage List), San Quirico, Cortona, Chiusi, Monte San Sanvino, Asciano, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, and Lake Trasimeno. All are within an 'hour and a half drive, tops.
Closestthermal baths and spas are in S. Albino ( 7 km), Sarteano (15 km), Bagno Vignoni (16 km), Bagni San Filippo ( 20 km), Rapolano (20 km). No more than half an hour's drive away you will find public swimming pools in Montepulciano Stazione, S. Albino, Bettolle, Trequanda, Chianciano, Sarteano.
