In Tuscany, in the suggestive Sienese countryside, the Castle of Saltemnano stands out on the gentle hills with all its beauty.

The Castle of Saltemnano is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday in the peace and harmony of the Sienese countryside. The stay allows you to rediscover all the oldest traditions of rural life and the opportunity to taste the typical products of the area.

Immersed in the peace of the Tuscan countryside, the farmhouse is located in the middle of theorganic farm.

Anita and Corrado, the owners, are always ready to welcome you and willing to tell you about the beauty of their land.

The accommodation

The Saltemnano Castle is an imposing medieval complex .The farmhouse, located inside the castle, offers hospitality in various apartments: it has four apartments with two double bedrooms , two bathrooms and a kitchenette; and three apartments with one double bedroom , one bathroom and a kitchenette.

All the apartments have been carefully restored in rustic Tuscan style and are divided between two buildings. One part of the apartments is located inside an ancient fortified castle, dating back to about 1400, the other part is in an old farmhouse. From the whole farmhouse you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view.

Outside there is also a swimming pool,overlooking Montalcino, for the relaxation of its guests.

 

The restaurant will welcome you for your breakfasts and dinners typically Tuscan, with local products. The cuisine is characterized by a typical rustic Tuscan style. The products are carefully chosen and selected, purely at KM 0 and organic, such as pasta made with flour from the farm.

Activities and surrounding

The property offers the possibility to relax in the swimming pool area with a view of Montalcino, organize horseback riding excursions in agreement with neighbouring stables or take long walks in the nature enjoying the landscape.

The location of the farm allows guests to reach many cities of art within a few kilometers, such as: Florence, Siena,Arezzo, Pienza,Montepulciano, San Gimignano,as well as spas that are about 20 km away.

A few kilometers from Buonconvento, Montalcino and the beautiful Val d'Orcia ( Unesco heritage).

Pleased to meet you, I am Corrado and I am 33 years old.

I have been working here for 1 years with my partner.
As well as we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
