The agriturismo

Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, among the hills of the Val di Chiana that draw the striking landscape of Siena, the family-run agriturismo is an old 18th-century farmhouse on the border between Tuscany and Umbria.

An organic farm and agritourism for no more than 14 guests and a small restaurant where you can dine or take a cooking class.

Its location is ideal to reach important destinations such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, the Val d'Orcia, Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, Lake Trasimeno but also Assisi, Perugia and the small Spello or the speldide thermal baths of San Filippo

Swimming pools, a garden with games and a vegetable garden with vegetables and fruit trees surround the farmhouse.

The owners with their animals live in the cottage and respond to every request.

The accommodation

Nestled in the Tuscan landscape, the farmhouse houses 2 apartments with two bedrooms each, two bathrooms and living room with open kitchen and two large independent rooms with private bathroom and living area.Each room and apartment has an outdoor space equipped with table, umbrella and barbecue.

A small restaurant, with also outdoor tables and a view of Montepulciano at sunset, is run by the owners and offers breakfasts, lunches and dinners with genuine dishes typical of the Tuscan family tradition, prepared with their own or local products: bread, breakfast cakes, homemade pasta (tagliatelle, pici, ravioli and tortellini).

The one-hectare garden is equipped with 2 swimming pools (one for children), sunbeds, umbrellas, shower, gazebo with table and chairs. Scattered among the olive grove and orchard are games: swing, basketball hoop, rings, gazebo with ping pong table, foosball table.

 

Activities and surrounding

At the farmhouse we organize food and wine tours to famous wineries in the area, cheese tastings at dairies that produce pecorino do Pienza.

Cooking classes for no more than 4/6 people during which together with Pierpaolo you learn how to make fresh pasta, sauces, a main course and dessert, and then have dinner together.

It is also possible to organize tours on foot, by bike or on horseback
