The agriturismo
There is a small section of Tuscany were you can hear the rooster crow every morning, where you can see hills full of golden grain that waves in the wind, where you can still smell the typical aromas of ancient Tuscan culinary tradition at lunch and dinner time.
This small corner of paradise is found on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in a sunny and isolated position (the center of the medieval village is only 10 km away), in one of the most beautiful national parks in the world, the Val D'Orcia (Unesco World Heritage Site). Here there is an old farmhouse that has been restructured and furnished in arte povera, where peace, tranquility and hospitality are the landlords.
The accommodation
The recently restructured agritourism is divided into comfortable double rooms with Tuscan arte povera furnishings. There are also 2 apartments with their own kitchens. Both the rooms and apartments are equipped with TV (some with DVD player), private entrance and private bath. Each lodging offers a charming panorama.
Inside the agritourism there is a beautiful dining room where you can taste homemade typical local dishes and more. B&B service, half board and full board are offered. An additional bed can be added upon request for babies and children.
Activities and surrounding
The agritourism's purpose is to combine country life, rest, relaxation and healthy and good food with true tourism. For this reason, guests can participate in various activities that are the normal routine in a true agricultural company. Whoever wishes can therefore participate in the harvest or in sowing the fields, as well as in the olive harvest and collecting fresh eggs or gather freshly drawn milk, spend an afternoon in the kitchen learning how to prepare our dishes, attend to the many animals that will keep you company during your stay, gather vegetables that will then be served at meals. You can enjoy looking for mushrooms and chestnuts on Monte Amiata.
Guests can also enjoy the numerous cultural, enogastronomic and landscape marvels that a region like Tuscany offers (Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Pitigliano, Sovana, the Val d'Orcia Park, Siena, Bolsena and its lake, Acquapendente, Bolsena, Chiusi, Città della Pieve, Montepulciano, Radicofani, Montalcino, the hills of Chianti, Bagni San Filippo, Monte Amiata, Abbadia San Salvatore, San Casciano dei Bagni. There are also discounts at the spas, museums and the horseback riding stables (only 100 mt. away) that have an agreement with the agritourism.
