The agriturismo

Old restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and meadows on which the farm's sheep graze Immersed in the warm colors of the Tuscan hills, with splendid views of Montepulciano and the temple of San Biagio, the Valdichiana and Cortona.

The accommodation

The farmhouse has four apartments recently renovated and furnished with the simplicity and warmth of Tuscan tradition. The structure is that characteristic of the Tuscan farmhouse: stone and brick exterior walls; ceilings supported by wooden beams; terracotta floors.
Each apartment has its own separate entrance, dining room with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom

Inside the farmhouse there is a point of sale of the farm products and other typical Tuscan products: wine, oil, jams, honey, cold cuts and cheeses.

Activities and surrounding

Guests staying at the agriturismo can take part in the work of the farm and in particular in the grape and olive harvest, which are still carried out manually according to old local traditions.

Montepulciano
is located in the center of that area of southern Siena that includes the Val d'Orcia the Valdichiana and, in a marginal part, the Crete Senesi
. The landscape that opens up all around Montepulciano, called the pearl of the 1500s because of the many works left by the great architects of the Renaissance, takes one's breath away as it opens up among hills, vineyards, lakes in the distance, olive groves, expertly restored farmhouses and pleasant old villages, an invitation to get pleasantly lost in long walks.

Thanks to the location of the farmhouse, in a short time you can reach the main cities of art such as Siena, Florence, Cortona, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia, Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno, theLIPU Oasis of Lake Montepulciano and the Etruscan tombs of Chiusi.
From an artistic point of view, Montepulciano, offers an intense week, useful to immerse oneself in a rich and powerful past.

Pleased to meet you, I am Loredana and I am 53 years old.
I have been doing this job for 15 years along with my daughter.
As well as we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to meet new and interesting people all the time which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Villa Mazzi is its closeness to artistic/cultural points of interest.
