Many thanks to our hosts, Annaelisa and Massimo, who provided such a beautiful and restful experience of Umbria for our 5 night stay. The property is spacious, beautifully landscaped and meticulously manicured. We loved the fragrant lavender hedges and the sentinel cypresses lining the drive. The apartment (Girasole) was well-equipped and possessed an appealing rustic charm. The breakfast was varied, appealing to all tastes. The homemade baking items were superb. We made use of the pool area although, unfortunately, the autumn weather was turning. Annaelisa surprised us one afternoon there with a platter of freshly picked grapes from their farm, so thoughtful and generous! The B & B's location is perfect for visiting Spoleto and the intriguing villages and towns of Umbria. The nearby Coop supermarket (outskirts of Spoleto) is great for picking up trip snacks and making meals back at the farm. As English speakers, it was fun to try out our Italian with the ever gracious and patient Annaelisa. With our host's English and the odd assistance from Mr. Google we all managed to communicate just fine. Back home we are already planning our next visit to I Granai and to further explore the delights of Umbria.
We had a great time, hospitality and kindness are the mistress in this lovely place and cared for in detail by the owners ... we will return!!!
